Lord of the Rings Soundtrack DURING WoW

Just have to say, that listening to the Lord of the Rings soundtracks while playing WoW… Amazing.

Try it sometime.

No

Listen to Mario 64 sometime while playing WoW.

It’s a natural fit.

Do it sometime.

Music is one of WoW’s strong points so…nah, I’m good. Nothing in LotR is worth missing Nightsong next time I’m flying over feralas.

That’s fine. You can always choose to have poor taste. You do play the Human race in a fantasy game.

My human potential > your fantasy

… Hahahahahahahaahahahahahaha

Might as well play Male Human Paladin, go all the way.

Into the West is on my WOW playlist

Great Song from LOTR

I’ve got soundtrack for nearly every different zone in the game, though I haven’t used them much this expansion because Zandalar and Kul Tiras kind of knock it out of the park, musically. I haven’t really included my of Shore’s LotR stuff because it has a different feel to me, except perhaps for Silvermoon/Quel’Danas and a few of the spookier zones with Mordor-type music.

I’ve got a lot of fantasy and fantasy-adjacent soundtrack on rotation, everything from Record of Lodoss War to Gladiator, depending on what I’m doing and where. If ambient is more your style, Cryo Chamber on youtube has got some great stuff that fits well with the Old God environments we’ve had lately.

Hell yeah man. If only every zone had as good of music as Grizzly Hills, then I would not have supplement with outside music…

I play FF14 music while playing WoW and WoW music while playing FF14.

WotLK was pretty great for music, yeah. Borean Tundra has this massive, glacial feel to it. Howling Fjord and Grizzly Hills turned the viking up to 11, and I was so glad they revisited that in Stormheim later on. I didn’t always appreciate Dragonblight’s music but it’s grown on me for wintry themes. Sholazar might be my least favorite now, but its a bit out there as a zone too. Zul’Drak is a masterclass in bleak, sinister atmosphere. Storm Peaks is all-around gorgeous adventure music. Icecrown Glacier is very uncomfortable and oppressive.

I could go on about this stuff for hours.

I’ve used a lot of WoW music as background music for D&D games as well. With a catalog this big I’m rarely at a loss for the perfect mood piece.

I actually could see that being more fitting as a Gnome
