Lord of Locks in Torghast

Got to a spot (level 5 on a layer 4 wing this week) where I had to defeat 2 Lord of Locks in a group with about 4-5 non-elites. It didn’t happen. This is the first time I’ve been defeated in Torghast and I’m not sure if there is anything a Fury Warrior can do to beat two of these elites at once. Any ideas? My iLvl is @172.

  1. Better gear
  2. The whirlwind pull anima power can pull single mobs out of packs like that without aggroing the other
  3. enraged regen duration/cooldown anima powers
  4. Stormbolt/Impending victory over Double Time
  5. generic proc powers can be very powerful. Corruption antenna and the enchanted lens or whatever come to mind

Don’t forget to Piercing Howl and leap away when they Whirlwind. Storm Bolt is so much more useful than most of it’s associates in that talent row. Intimidating Shout can help against certain mobs, just be aware of your surroundings.

Not that it matters on layer 4, but prot and arms are both way better for torghast. Your ilvl is not an issue, I cleared layer 6s this week on my dk alt thats 170.

The biggest question here is what powers did you have, and were you full clearing every floor?

I didn’t get very lucky with power admittedly, but the issue with facing 2 Lord of Locks at once wasn’t necessarily a DPS issue. I was chain CC’d and melted by dual WWs. I reran tonight and cleared layer 4 no problem. I haven’t tried Arms yet because I really like Fury gameplay, but maybe I’ll give that a try.

I can’t remember if they are in the same wing or not, but if you use the Ravenous Anima Cell on a Mawsworn Shackler, they will give you a power which makes you immune to snares.

I think one of the best things you can do is keep one off of you as much as you can with Storm Bolt/Intimidating, burst the other down really fast, and defensive CDs when they are both on you, leaping away from whirlwinds.

So here’s my advice for TC then.

Reset until you get the torment that spawns things, as its basically irrelevant, and until you get voracious culling blade as the starting power.
Pride breakers anvil (stun on condemn), is also acceptable as a starting power if your venth.

I think you can interrupt their whirlwind with intimidating shout

You can reset that dungeon all day long it’s not going to change the starting power.

It does in Twisting Corridors, actually. For some reason, the starting power is not fixed in there, unlike in normal wings.

Interesting, that’s definitely worth knowing. Thank you sir.
