So it’s been almost a month so assuming it’s not spoilers to talk about this but did anyone else not know about these two being a couple till out of nowhere they’re just like “oh we’ve loved each other for years and got married recently” like feels so forced and out of nowhere too me.
Meanwhile Ji Firepaw and Aysa Cloudsinger haven’t had their relationship story continued since the end of Siege of Orgrimmar in MoP and that was ten years ago and would actually be perfect to continue for an expansion where factions are working together.
I will never forgive whoever at Blizzard dropped the ball and made them a couple and not Mayla and Baine. They had CHEMISTRY at the Highmountain recruitment quest.
They can or at least they could I rarely care for relationships in ganes but Aysa and Ji are just so good like they had such a great story as forbidden lovers but Blizzard just decided to forget Pandaren existed for some reason.
That’s presumably the reason MoP was not well received at first like considering how people talk about it now it sounds crazy but well the trailers were diskiked to hell
OP, if you paid attention to the lore, you’d know that Thalyssra and Lor’themar’s relationship started before the events of Shadowlands, specifically in the short story ‘A Moment in Verse’.
The relationship continued throughout Shadowlands to the point where they’re seen together in Oribos at Sylvanas’s trial, and the short story ‘A Vow Eternal’ covers their marriage.
It’s called show don’t tell I shouldn’t have to read some book to know about it like this is like a huge deal two major horde faction leaders being in a relationship yet no one knew about it unless they wasted their money on some book.
There was a short story written over two years ago that began their romance where Lor’themar was invited to Suramar after the events of BfA where he and Thalyssra worked together to defeat Azshara.
Fast forward to two expansions later and several years, they’re now married.
Personally, I’m glad they added most of the romantic elements to the short stories as that sort of stuff can come off as cheesy sitting through it in-game.
