Loque' nahak (Spirit Beast) rename?

My alt just tamed Loque’ nahak again for the second time, but I noticed that Loque had his full name Loque’nahak and not “Spirit Beast” as it did the last four times I have tamed him on this character

Does anyone know if you can now change his name to his full name after renaming him from the default “Spirit Beast”? I don’t want to burn a “certificate of ownership”
if you can’t … thanks in advance

I think special pets keep their unique names after taming. I tamed Azzere and currently have a Windserpent named “Azzere the Skyblade” spaces and all.

That IS his default name and can be renamed for free if you want.

They keep the special names now, but they didn’t before this change, I renamed my pet Loque … I’d like to give him his full name, how do we do that for free? he’s been renamed once already

I don’t think there is a way to unfortunately. :frowning:

You get one free name change and I believe that part hasn’t changed, the only way to get the original name is by taming it anew. And I also don’t think you can do the special characters like the little ’ thingy, or spaces (though I haven’t tried, I really should)

Correct, special characters are not allowed.

I was hoping they would allow us to finally use the ’ in names.

I tamed Loque’nahak a few years back and just named it Loki as I couldn’t use the ^ name.

I put in a few tickets to see if GM could help me and sadly they cannot so its seems if you want the pet name you have to tame it again.

So does anybody have a good tacit on taming it these days? Last time took me a long long long long long time.

Oh man, that’s great it keeps the original name now… I tamed my Loque back in Mists and had to name him something different. Wish I could change it to that without having to tame another… I’m attached to my original tame lol

I went out and retamed Loque’nahak just to let it have its original name. Something about that just feels better to me.

I took my first one that didn’t have the name and gave it the name of his mate and just run those as my 1 and stable. Kinda neat.

I always had the pet default name Spirit Beast when I tame Spirit Beasts that were in the game after Wotlk. I just tamed Loque’nahak for the second time on my hunter so I could have two of them out at the same time and his name came with his original name except for this time when I right-click him to change his name for the first time, it doesn’t give me the option.
