Lootless MMO

This is turning into a lootless MMO, at least in open world. It seems like very few mobs drop anything at all, except for some kind of currency. It’s really not fun to just see some currency counter to go up a point or two.

I think the only decent loot I got today were from two world quests. Even that stupid 100 disk things gave ms something I already had.

Meh.

Loot comes and goes. Remember that cool drop you got in 2008 ?

I’ll tell you one thing: I seriously doubt I’m going to do one of those follower dungeons again. I’ve done like 5 and no drops, and for as long as that takes, eff it.

Follower dungeons are a waste of time

I hated the mandatory one.

I’ll always remember the times I got my fiery war axe, and a skullflame shield. Epic world drops used to feel great idk why that stopped being a thing. Something about people feeling all weird about epics being earned by casuals or something like that.

Everything has to be somewhat regulated to ensure the Race to World first, and M+ pushes are not dominated by somebody who got a lucky drop, of a cool item.

I can’t say it enough, classic style loot with more modern gameplay would be just the perfect game. I hate that the whole community gets hamstrung and time gated because 10 guilds want to race to the end of the raid. Just Ilevel sync the dang thing until it is cleared, and let the rest of us have our fun.

Random, badass item drops are the dopamine hit to end them all in this game. Sad that it is a very rare thing.

Go play diablo.

Even classic wow wasn’t handing out epics every world mob.

I don’t fancy very rare drop that can drop from anything. I prefer having a set goal, with predetermined items. The worst thing (imo) in Dragonflight was hands down the lariat design. I want less of that, not more.

This is basically why I still play ARPGs, actually I think I have more combined time in ARPGs than I do WoW.

ARPGs still drop stuff. WoW is turning into a sterile piece of cardboard. The only types of gear you can loot are hidden treasures.

Well, I’d be happy with a green drop now and again, and I don’t even see that. I’ve been in some epic…epic for me anyway, epic in the sense of time, fights and after pounding on some mob for minutes, the thing drops a piece of vendor trash and a couple of whatever upgrade things. It’s enraging, frankly.

It dropped for me from the mob I killed to get 400 unarmed skill.

(I’m all for Blizz giving out the bear, etc. I just happen to remember a drop from 2008. It might be the only drop I really remember.)

If it drops for one of the followers, you don’t get to see it.

p.s. i got a Nightblade once.

Green do drops. I’ve vendored plenty. And there are plenty more in the auction house.

They must be loving life then, because i ain’t seen squat.

I’ve not seen much loot dropping from them recently either.
except for the bountiful cache that you have to spend your key on.

I’m not saying I do lots of them everyday, but the ones have done recently I didn’t get anything.

Maybe another loot bug or something?

Wouldn’t be the first time something like that has happened.

It’s 1/5, at best 2/5, to get any loot. Tough luck. At least with other players, you always have the possibility of another player trading it to you.

Not to mention how annoying it is trying to click the little items in Delves.

You clearly lack reading comprehension skills and that is ok

At no time did I ask for it to rain random epics. I just enjoy the fact that you had a chance to get cool, rare, items just by killing random mobs.

If it rained epics, then my statement about a dopamine hit would be completely void then wouldn’t it?

Nope, but you could expect a green every hour or so. If you were hard up for gear, you could go out and grind some.

You still get that. 580 gear drops apparently, randomly.
