Loot trading tier tokens, is it wrong?

So as opposed to hear before I’ve had terrible luck with tier gear. Despite killing seven tier bosses a week five on normal and two on heroic and filling out my entire Vault I’ve been stuck on two pieces since week two. Finally got a third piece but it happens to be the same piece I have which is the helmet and everybody immediately told me I should roll it off since I don’t need it. I responded with no I’m going to hold on to it to trade later on in the run if somebody gets chest or shoulders that they can trade and several people did not like that too much I had multiple people I had to put on ignore cuz they were spamming me how they needed it and how I should just give it to them.

I’ve literally been benched by the Pug community that I’m in because I don’t have my four piece for Mythic progression in fact I can’t even get into heroic progression passed anduin because I’m missing my four piece. Is this wrong?

EDIT: To be clear, if by the conclusion of the raid, which includes falling apart, time ran out or no one got drops, the item would have been rolled off. I would not have just not let someone get tier. Also this was a complete pug, not a community, guild or organized group and the only bosses we did were tier bosses.

That’s a really crappy thing to do, yes, you were wrong.

It’s personal loot. It’s your loot. The system is working as intended.

I just got my first piece since doing normal since week one.

Some of us are having an even harder time getting it

Think about the smile that person gets when they win the roll though and get a tier piece.

Is it like this:

Yeah but the OP isn’t playing the game to get gear for others he’s here to get it for himself. It’s his loot, he can do WHATEVER he wants with it.

No I will shard a tier piece in the face of the crying babies. Personal loot is personal and a shard is worth more than nothing.

You are entitled to keep it for trade but trade rules make it pretty restrictive as another tier appropriate would have to drop in the same group to trade it anyway.

I get why people would be upset but if they ain’t paying your sub then it’s not their concern at all

You’re not a good person.

Yeah… being nice is… well… nice, but no one can tell others what to do with their loot.

Etiquette is cute, not law.

I’ve joined groups with people that wanted a piece of loot very badly and I’ve given it to them. 20th time running necrotic wake they say or whatever and the weapon drops for me and it’s an upgrade but the other person obviously cares a lot more about it than I do.

Try to have a sense of community

I’m fine throwing it to roll but the part that annoys me is people whispering then opening a trade @ me when others asking for it.

This isnt a first come first get you roll fair and square and if no one else needs I’ll keep it for Tmog.

I’m ok with whispers…but dont open a trade unless you win or are the only one wanting the item…its annoying.

That is very sweet of you. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with encouraging other people to be kind. But I think it’s equally wrong to pressure people to give Up their loot when they say no. We still have freedom of choices, We Should respect that other people don’t play like we do or think like we do

Community doesn’t mean that others are entitled to my loot. If all “community” entails is loot, then that community is pretty shallow tbh.

Ok but some people are super shady. I used to put something up for roll and give it away no questions asked but some people roll to disenchant or sell to vendor. If I inspect your profile and you’ve got a better piece of equipment than what you’re rolling for, you aren’t getting it. If I wanted to vendor or disenchant it, I would do so myself

A personal view of how hard it is to get. I would trade. I firmly believe it’s my loot. However, unless you need something major just trade it and not be that person. Yes, I did trade tier once and gave it to the tank, despite it would have been first on my DK. But he an alt and see no sense for him to have it when a main seem to need it more. Based on the pst and nice mail I got he sure needed it.

Based on the field you grow in your heart directly affects you. Positive equates to positive growth and things happen to you. Negative thoughts and negative fields equate to bad things happening to you. This is based on energy equation theory if anyone is interested in reading good theory.

I say this to people too if they’re being negative. You put out good energy and good energy will come back to you

I thought ilvl upgrades couldn’t be traded? Did this change recently?

I’ve told this story before.

During a discussion on loot trading I volunteered that what I do is inspect the other players in the dungeon to see if it would be an upgrade for them, and just give it to the player for whom it would be the biggest upgrade, without being asked. They’re usually delighted because most people aren’t paying attention.

Someone in the discussion was outraged that I didn’t put it up for roll to the entire group. They felt that the person with the best gear clearly has shown they deserve it more, even though it may not be an upgrade, and somebody with crappy gear clearly doesn’t deserve a handout. They thought everybody should be able to roll, including people who couldn’t equip it or who might want it only to vend it out or disenchant it, because that would mean it would be less likely to go to that undeserving wretch I would normally give it to.
