Loot system is solid now

Bit low on flightstones.

And raids still drop way too little loot.

But otherwise one of the better lootsystem that wow have had so far.

According to random people running LFR, it is not.

I’m not sure who to believe!

Basically most things save for lack of personal loot in raid pugs as well as too few items from them.

Least it’s not stupidly difficulty to get near peak gear this time around.

I really enjoy the loot system.

The only issue I have with Loot in general is that Versatility is still a thing. Versatility is the one stat that if it isn’t your least desirable on any healer/DPS, it’s a mark your spec is badly designed. That’s kinda telling IMHO.

It’s a boring stat and I have very little control over how much I have while gearing - it’s just bad luck that I have so much of it and feels bad.

If it’s needed in PvP, great, let it be a PvP thing. In PvE, it’s meh.

Wouldn’t say Versa is bad. It’s just boring. Not to mention that plenty of masteries is literally just Versa^2

Gearing is extremely fast right now.

If that makes for a better or worse experience is subjective.

Leaves room for alts!

Random people running LFR have complained (and will continue to do so) about the loot methods no matter what they are. Mathematically, need before greed gives you a better chance at getting loot you want than personal did. They all get about the same amount of QQ, so Bliz seems to be rotating them (with modifications, so they seem to be trying) based on the QQ of the day.

You boys and girls must have some loaded dice. I ran lfr last week on my alt to get vault slots. Pretty much every piece was won with a 98 or better.

I love the new upgrade system. It’s exactly what I asked for. Flightstones can sometimes be an issue, I agree, but this system is so much more interesting.

they said versatility was added to be a bad stat a booby prize for loot…

With the stats being multiplicible, once you get a lot of everything else, vers starts to compete.

I think if you’re running properly sized groups, raid rains loot.

A normal pug should be at least 20.

That’s at least 36 pieces of loot per raid, not even counting the rare/ultra rare drop items which are a seperate loot table.

If your group is that weird set playing 12, 14, 16, 17, 18 or 19 members, then yikes

It doesn’t take loaded dice to understand that the system is built to improve the chances for people who actually need stuff by restrictions on who can roll against them.

Actually, that’s not true.

I needed gear desperately compared to others in a raid - got outrolled on everything that dropped for need. Do a quick inspection - people rocking heroic or better level gear.

The system, if it’s going to stay this stupid way, needs to do a check for item levels, etc compared to other rollers instead of going “Dur hur, highest roll regardless.”

It’s solid save for raid loot which is still trash.

I mean, I don’t like the whole “Here is some gold.” Maybe one or two people get a piece of gear in 3 or 4 bosses.

If it’s going to stay this way, needs to account for more.

Like the raid loot was passable in Legion, but not by a lot.
Thanks to both being more loot and the bonus roll coins.

But the devs decided the coins had to be removed because of the existence of the vault…

I feel like I have some bais on this. I’m basically BiS and I got my 4p set fairly early in the season
