How many of us in raids has had multiple instances where a overly geared player needs on everything wins it and quickly leaves there after? This is the major issue. Personal loot to me was so much better you got stuff to your specialization but even it had its drawbacks. I believe that if a person has an item in their inventory not just equipped thats higher they shouldnt even be allowed to roll need on it
You missed sunday by just a day, sorry. Try again next week though!
I agree, change it back to personal loot so I can get my transmog in the mailbox later without anyone bothering me!
I’m with you.
I fail to see the solution to your issue here, or to be honest the issue itself. If it is someone rolling need, personal loot automatically rolls, you cannot opt to roll lower priority. And someone rolling on loot isn’t an issue, that is the intended function of group loot. If it is them leaving mid run, then loot being group or personal has no relation to the issue and is likely a factor of becoming busy or boss based lockouts. If it is about someone leaving after the run without sticking around to chit-chat, that again doesn’t really seem to be an issue in the slightest, and especially not a group loot issue.
Ah, this is one of those. The system actually does that, you cannot roll on an item if you already have a better version of it. Same piece only, though, if you have a myth trinket you can still see better champion track trinkets and the system won’t force you to pass on them.
Players should not be able to win multiple items off the same boss unless no one else rolls need.
If the other person was there and contributed to the fight why shouldn’t they get to roll on gear? You having worse gear does not mean everything gets funneled to you.
The major issue is that you are troll baiting. 1 post alt. Yup. Let this thread die.
Then why had it locked me out of rolling on things that are not only a stat, but also item level wise that are for my class and spec? Why also would it lock me out of rolling on tier tokens when i have none in my inventory, and do not have s full tier set equipped?
There are clearly issues with it. Also, if someone wins an item, they shouldn’t be allowed to roll and win 2-3 other items from the same run. But it happens, alot.
Personally, we should go back to the valor system.
This makes no sense, there are more items that drop in a raid than players. In a 25-man group, there are 45 items plus items like recipes, omni-tokens, and toys. You are looking at 50+ items in Amir/Aberrus.
No idea. Seems like you either didn’t know you had it, had it in the bank, or it was not for your loot spec because the system allows you to roll need for that. If it is the right stat, armor type, weapon type, and trinket behavior, you can roll need as long as you do not already have the item. Tokens behave a bit different but if you have that respective slot, it wouldn’t let you roll. If your need roll was offspec, it was something your class could need, but it wasn’t for your main loot spec, which is not necessarily what you are currently playing as.
If only. The addons that would mass whisper everyone who got a drop if they could have it (even if they couldnt use it) was super annoying
It does when I watch one person win nine items. Not exaggerating, that happened in my last raid finder. That shouldnt happen. And there were easily 8+ people rolling.
I’ll take things that never happened for 500
No, it is still flawed from the conception of the idea because of the number of items that drop versus the number of people that exist. But that is just RNG being RNG.
Or even worse, blast it in raid chat so that everyone and their mom whispered you demanding it.
I mean, RNG going to RNG. The easy way to not be upset with other people winning drops is to not look for reasons to be upset imo.
This is why Personal loot was far superior.
No one complained stuff was being stolen from them, because the higher geared person didn’t have to manually press a “Yes, I want to take this” button.
I personally pass on a lot of things just because, allowing you to win
Personal loot would award me the gear anyway and you wouldn’t win it.
How is that superior?
Does no one else remember the crazy amount of posts here during BFA about how the big mean raiders were stealing gear from them because they refused to trade it when the OP “needed it more”? People absolutely complained stuff was being stolen from them.
It got to the point where the only way to avoid being bombarded by beggars when you won an item was to just not loot it and let Blizzard mail it to you.
It happened, pipe down and go back under your bridge.
They add more rng in an additional effort to get people to stay subbed for longer. Whole carrot on a stick bs.
