I guess all I can hope for at this point is that hopefully, this doesn’t happen to people in Dragonflight because I hear that the bosses drop crafting materials. God forbid the same thing happens to someone else and you put in a ticket for loot. You’ll never get loot. Lesson learned. 1.) Leave the raid group (even though it’s loot-based saves) 2.) Make sure you port out (even though it’s loot-based saves). Then log out. Oh and don’t expect GMs to help with loot even if the game saved you to a boss in some manner. 
Thanks for the input guys. I should have just reached out here first a month ago. You guys have provided more clarity than the GMs -which are obviously in the wrong about how Castle Nathria saves go. Still doesn’t solve the issue. I’ll just chalk it up to glitchy systems like usual and move on. Its been a month anyway… Its not like it matters now.
Though it would be nice to eventually get a blue post on this 
and maybe an elevation to my ticket.
