You can craft a weapon which is the biggest bulk of your DMG l. You can craft 4 other pieces and buy 4 bullion pieces that’s 8 pieces of gear out of the 14 you need.

If you’re posting on the same toon that you’re trying to gear, you’re horrible and your gf is right. I leveled an alt and the same day I hit 70 I got up to ilvl485. Looks like you have no clue about what you’re doing.
Seems like kind of a troll post, but whatever. How do you expect the game to determine upgrades for the bad luck protection you want?
Purely by ilevel? Sadly that’s not always going to be an upgrade because classes and specs work differently. Also does it go by equipped gear or gear in bags? Could I unequip certain things to try and game the system before opening my weekly vault or the chest at the end of a dungeon? If it goes by loot in bags, what if I have an off spec that’s a different role, would those potentially throw things off if I had two great off spec trinkets?
Currently there are a lot of ways to fill gaps, like crafted items. There’s also the bullion items currently, many of which are BiS anyway, but those won’t always be around.

Your issue isn’t loot drops, your issue is that you are not upgrading your gear.
