I brought this up in my hunter section. If a hunter wants to roll on a melee weapon, be my guest, but don’t then expect a warrior or rogue to not roll on a good bow.
As for gear, I also mentioned that hunters will roll on leather and mail, even when they can use mail. Truestrike shoulders are one example of an item that hunters, rogues, warriors, and even ret pallies /enhancement shamans absolutely need. They are leather and bis for all those classes.
Maybe you didn’t read the whole thread?
The struggle is real. I’ll gladly heal dungeons but that’s not going to prevent me from rolling on dps upgrades like Corpsemaker, which I’ve given up on. The majority of my leveling is from solo questing where I need these weapons too.
Dont do that. Your professions come second to the group
Instead of needing for off spec items, ask the group if they’re willing to run the dungeon again.
I leveled from 27-45 in SM on my retail Priest, running 3 of the 4 dungeons with the same group multiple times. Everyone got all the drops they needed eventually.

This is very true - didn’t win the item this time? Let’s run it again.
That’s mainly for pvp, otherwise their melee weapons are stat sticks.
If the item is an upgrade I’m rolling on it, period. The hunter and druid are also welcome to roll if they need as well. May the best roll win!
