Hello all, so I was running BRD two days ago and we killed Princess before Emperor, her loot instantly popped up on my screen for options pass/greed/need, and when I greeded, nobody else had their options, and the loot instantly appeared in my bags. Now I’ve ran this by two GMs who say that this is not a recognized bug, and that I should report it. They also can’t resolve my issue, as my Shaman in the group needed the item, which now sits uselessly in my bags.

Why won’t it let me post links?
As you can see, the other items that Emp dropped were given options for all party members, but the drop from Princess did not. I need this item transfered from my bags to my Shaman friend (apparently GMs do not have this power?), and he will be a happy Shaman. Shamans are our friends, and they give us windfury and heals. I like my Shaman friends, and you do too.
Please let me know if there’s any questions, as I do remember it pretty well.
Thank you,
Orinas

if the loot was unique and anyone in party already had gotten it then it would not have shown up, they wouldnt even be able to see the roll.
No that was not the case. The shaman in my group needed the item.
This happened twice to my group too, two members couldn’t roll/see the Princess loot. We assumed it was just because they hadn’t done the quest to save Princess, since the other three of us had, but I’m not sure if that quest is even available to horde? So maybe thats not it. :\ Super annoying though, when stuff dropped that our party members needed.
Yeah this is exactly what happened, but my guildies say that they’ve done the quest as horde. I wonder if the bug is that the alliance quest counts, but the horde one doesn’t. That doesn’t explain why I was able to loot it though.
I had this same issue with a deadmines run this Sunday. Some uncommon and above loot appeared to be following “free for all” rules, while some were following the correct “need before greed” rules. A member ended up looting the blue chest piece off Van Cleef, and couldn’t trade it to me afterwards.
We even switched party leaders at the end of the run because we couldn’t figure out what was going on.
Bump for visibility.
Encountered the same issue in Zul’Farrak in both of my runs. items I’ve never even seen before didn’t give me option to even roll.
The party leader was on his 3rd run that day so I wonder if that has something to do with it and the “unique” tags on some items.
Loot was need before greed, changed to group loot to try to fix, then leader was given to someone who hadn’t done the dungeon at all before… not thoroughly tested, but we didn’t have issues on the last boss and a rarespawn boss after that.
