Loot is a bummer

I’ve been playing Shadowlands since launch, raiding, not full clear heroics but 7 bosses, running 10s a week, and I still have a 200 weapon, and get a side grade 226 ring that’s the same dps as a 213 ring because of stats.

It’s really depressing to spend so much time each week playing and receive basically no improvement.

Yep, and even when you work your butt off to get a decent ilvl vault choice, it’s almost never an upgrade, or even appropriate for your spec. Super frustrating.

Yeah, it is. I’ll probably be under 215 for another few months. Who knows if I’ll keep playing that long.

I wish you get a weapon soon, I know how frustrating it can be to have one that’s not very high.

I have a 226 in almost every other slot, still don’t have a weapon. None have dropped in any dungeon that I’ve done that were even tradeable. I’ve done probably 100 where possible upgrades could have been available. I’ve done heroic raid. Stuck with a 200 ilvl weapon on my melee and every week it becomes harder to justify playing the casino again. It was easier to get Keystone Master than it was to upgrade the most important slot on my character for damage. Have had 3 picks at 226 for 5 weeks now and 3 picks at some combination of 226/223 every one before that.

I feel you. Blizzard really messed this up. Some have told me to PvP but I loathe PvP and don’t pay for a PvP game so I won’t be forced into a broken system and spend even more time in the game.

M+ is a crap shoot based on the week. I run with a great group but we avoid certain dungeons on certain weeks. Pugs are just a no-go as a BM and again, the image of given specs is on Blizzard.

Raider.io makes it even worse to find a pug.

I had hoped that after 30 years Blizzard would find a way to keep people paying and playing because it’s fun, not because it’s a grind and people don’t want to let their friends down.

RNG luck is exactly like Genetics… You can train, work hard and be vigilant and yet some A-hole is going to come along and be blessed and there isn’t anything you can do about it. Just keep on playing and stop worrying about things out of your control.

Hope it works out for you!

I reject this apologetic for Blizzard response. RNG is not some magic thing out of a game designer’s hands.

They’ve already started making changes in the next patch.

Yes, yes… Whelma…

Welcome to Loot is a bummer week! This week, no new weapon, we’ll see if the raid changes impacts that at all. I did get a 226… shoulders, where my 235 legendary is, so thanks blizzard! The wrist upgrade I got is a stellar 20dps.

so I take 20dps, or some shoulders I cannot use unless I swap legendaries.

Much fun.

To try and make some lemonade, I took the shoulders and am going to look into grinding the ash to replace my helm. It’ll be expensive, but oh well, at least it will be an overall upgrade.

Feels bad man. Waited a week to be disappointed yet again.

Or quit until they add RNG protection in some form like they’ve had in most expansions.

Vault gives me the same slots every week. Chest, hands, shoes etc. All I want is a weapon or shoulders. :frowning: I never have shoulders drop for me ever.

This is what happens when Blizzard listens to streamers, influencers and elitists complaining about too much loot “raining from the sky”.

There was never a problem with too much loot and quite frankly, there wasn’t much wrong with warforge/titanforge either.

Loot is scarce and boring now. And now they will have to dramatically course correct to keep people playing the game.

Yep I stopped caring and trying when i saw some folks mainly streamers applauding this model of no loot. This expansion is over for me if they don’t change things.

So you guys cant find upgrades because everything is a sidegrade at best?

But then you also claim loot is scarce?

Seems contradictory.

Whats happening here is that as you fill in all your slots it becomes less and less likely you will get a piece for a particular slot.

There is nothing wrong with droprates, its just how the need for items diminish as you fill slots.

Still don’t have a weapon btw
