I’m getting this weird bug. When I loot an item, it gets instantly soulbound, no blue text. It has been happening with multiple items in multiple slots:
- I have the same piece with more ilvl.
- I have the same piece in the same track for example, hero track items with more ilvl.
- I have unequipped and equipped this items slots on every item.
- It has happen on multiple characters on the same account.
- I did try and loot with no addons active, I still had the same issues.
- I did record this happening with no addons to see if im missing something, and im just lost.
- I relogged in the dungeon, in a city, etc. No help
Any suggestions or help would be amazing, thanks!
you are a bit early for a sunday post
Does it work differently in some other games? There isn’t a situation in WoW where an item isn’t soulbound if you have it already or a higher ilvl/etc.; BoP is BoP.
There’s a chance to get warbound items these days that you can share with alts but they’re generated separately on a player-by-player basis, separate from the usual loot table.
In dungeons you can trade items. But its not letting me.
Oh with other people still in the instance. I’m a dunce. Dunno.
Rings, trinkets, and weapons tend to be the spot where this happens, because there are 2(ish) slots. I don’t see any reason this would happen for an item other than a ring on at least this character, however.
Circe’s Circlet, in my experience, hasn’t counted towards things like upgrade discounts. I suspect it would not be checked for determining what ilvl of ring you can trade away as well.
So for anyone in the future that runs into this bug, I found the solution on an old post, you need to set the time and date on Windows setting to “Set time automatically”.
