On my second run through today I attempted to open my loot filled pumpkin and there was nothing in it at all. Now the Item is stuck in my inventory. If I try to re-open the box it turns grey and opens a loot window that is cut right through the middle, after clicking the loot filled pumpkin it will remain grey in my inventory until relogging. My first thought was 1 of my many addons causing problems but even after disabling all of them the problem persists. Not going to lie there was probably not anything in the pumpkin (I’m on attempt 277) but I cant get the thought that the HH mount was in that box.

i got the hh mount today. only took me since release to get.
if your box is bugged, reque into the event and try to open it in the scenario again. that may work.
Gratz on the mount! Sadly going back into the instance did not help filling/completing the opening of the pumpkin. Thanks for the reply

This happened to me on my 3rd run for the day on my Rogue. I already have the mount, I almost think maybe it was the drake manuscript bugging the container out, since you cant loot a duplicate if you have already learned the item? (I looted and learned the manuscript on my first run today)

I have an empty pumpkin box on one character, but I noticed it after I already opened a pumpkin from the day’s run and received loot. I thought maybe this empty one was leftover from a previous day and that caused it to bug out, but I did everything so quickly I’m not sure. I also considered maybe the pumpkin was looted, but the container didn’t disappear as expected. At the time I’d not yet looted any of the new rewards, but I did already have the mount from a previous year.

On my about 30th kill today I got a pumpkin that won’t go away either. If I open it, it only half draws the contents, and there’s nothing there. Shift looting it doesn’t work either. It’s just stuck in my bag. I do have the manuscript already, but I shouldn’t have gotten it again as I thought it only had a chance the first time each day? Either way I just want the pumpkin to go away.

I can confirm that I got my manuscript on a non first run of the day. It can drop anytime, you are experiencing the same issue just delete it you already received all the available rewards.
I got a loot filled pumpkin I can’t open…I click on it and only get 1/4 size loot box tab opening and nothing in the box…I tried shift that didn’t work…I logged out and back in …didn’t work…so now what?

I got my empty pumpkin before I had looted a manuscript, though 
I believe you can loot more than one of the other items, so I don’t think it could’ve been the mount in my case. I looted three in one year a few years back.
I alo received no loot frrom the loot filled pumpkin yesterday. I didn’t even get grey loot, mine was completely empty. All my other runs have ended in the same loot looting the sinister squashling multiple times. This happened on WOTLK classic not retail.

I am also having this problem today, unable to loot the pumpkin on my first try of the day, had used all 4 wickerman curses and only 5 tricky treats were looted from the instance. I have the mount already from many years ago, but have not looted the drake saddle appearance yet. Can’t help but think it was in this pumpkin 
Should I just trash the item? Reload & re-logging didn’t help…
I am also having this problem. I opened the Loot-Filled Pumpkin and clicked to get a Tricky Treat, but then the loot window seemed to shrink to the header, and I can’t do anything with it.
This was on my second alt for the day. The first alt was fine
Two days ago there was a post somewhere that had stated it could only drop from first run. I got it on my first run on day 2. I’ve done 306 runs so far, still don’t have Arfus, but I do have a pumpkin I can’t loot.
Had this problem on my dk. Looted the plate helm and then it bugged out. Tried reloading a bunch of times and even destroying and item restoring but only managed to get the tricky treats from it. It’s still in my inventory greyed out lol.
Mine has been empty of loot for 4 straight days now
I had this happen and it’s because there was a mask inside, but masks are unique and I already had that specific one. I had to vendor all my masks and then re-log for the pumpkin to contain loot.
