Loot council made it right?

Let me throw you some popcorn and tell you what I saw yesterday.
I was in a casual pve guild. no gear checks, no enchantments.
We hadn’t made yet more than 3/8 BWL. Yesterday’s run was not a PUG, 40 guildies- 8 mages including.

There were 3 mage T2 items.
An officer of the guild receives 2 mages T2 items out of 3 that dropped in 3 hours 3/8 BWL raid. All other mages also needed that item and expressed it in the chat. We don’t have outstanding dps nor enchanted ppl.
The officer in this case has close to 100% attendance and a medium performance.

What do you think?

why not all 3? lol

Not enough information given. Lots of factors here:

Set bonuses - who’s closest?

Who gets the biggest upgrade from it?

Who would use it the most right at the moment?

What was the gear like on the other mages?

If given the item would that increase the performance?

Are the others geared further than him? Or much lesser? Or about the same?

Whats the name of the guild?

One of our hunters got 8/8 in the first week of BWL.

The xbow drop too but that was given to another hunter. lol

The officer mage received 3rd and 4th T2 items that night.
Out of 8 mages - 3 mages were better geared than other (this officer was one of them), 3 other had a mix of epicks and rares, 2 other - had mostly blues.
The 2nd mage item (the boots) would be upgrade to all (I believe all mages linked their blue boots in the chat).
The mage in question was doing a medium performance out of all mages (dps wise).

At 3/8 its best to distribute loot around to get your DPS and heals up so you can make it further.

A 40 man raid with only 3 fully geared characters wont make it very far.

I bet the 3rd piece of mage gear was a duplicate, so the guild master or W/E didnt need it because they were already planning on taking one of them.

Sounds suspicious, but more information is required.

What pieces of gear were being replaced? What did the other mages have for that gear slot? How long have the other mages been in the guild?

There’s a lot of factors that should go into loot council decisions. Just because they’re an officer and they got more loot in one run doesn’t necessarily mean they’re favoring themselves. But that is a possibility.

If you want to know just politely ask them about the decision. If they hesitate or just straight up don’t give any details about the decision then they may be corrupt.

need more context.

i used dead = no loot in many of my pugs back in the day.

did the second item result in a set bonus?

are other members fresh first time raiding with the guild?

did he bring consumables and flask and no one else did?

was he the only mage decursing?

i need their reasoning before i can absolutely trashcan that loot master.

at the moment its possible its justified, but as such its a LC guild not a RR guild.

my LC guild absolutely funneled warrior guild to MT first before anyone else in the name of progression.

Way too much communist drama & corruption. Buyer beware, lol.

Should have gone to the hunter.

Have you seen what the 8 set bonus gives? It’s a min/max guild type decision on the hunter gear.

as far as OP’s question →

IDK man, if you think there’s bad juju, find another guild. Loot council can be done as fair and as open as possible, and someone will still think greed and bias is happening.

Honestly this does not sound bad at all. The guy is there all the time and it will help everyone else also to have better dps overall. Personally I would have passed after getting something, but I guess that was his call. (maybe he replaced some real garbage items?)

Oh, no one complain. It was more about the fact that one person got all t2 in just one run.

IDK about mages, but that’s very normal for hunters

T2 is generally seen as the inferior role cuz u lose DPS. So you’re actually taking a penalty equipping it for pve.

The other hunter getting the xbow makes sense as well because he has the t1 and thus will do more dmg

mages have multiople sets and other things going on…not apples and apples

I gotcha, i meant to explain - any person min/maxing wouldn’t have a problem with a hunter getting 8/8 cause it will literally make every hunter do more dmg once 1 person has the full set.

Like I said no one had an issue, it was more for laughs that someone could’ve almost gotten decked out in t2 and weap in the first week.

Trust me had they given the weapon to the t2 hunter, your other hunters would have rightly thrown a fit

Your guild did exactly as any rational guild would do

Giving the xbow to the t2 hunter would make no sense

Op’s situation has infinitely more nuance

And that is why I love my guild… and I had zero desire to raid in classic. Now, Im doing it on 2 toons. lol

in this case they def knew what they were doing if anyone one complains tell em to be quiet and stop being bhad
