This is a gear based game. If a person isn’t performing well 95% of the time its because of a gear deficiency.
Loot council is a devolving loot method, eventually the power behind loot distribution gets to even the best of self restrained players. Eventually only the guild leader and his butt buddies will get loot.
GDKP is direct result of LC. If most LCs were fair and honest, GDKPs wouldnt be a thing.

LC is fine if you have a consistent group of people that know / trust each other.
LC in a guild with a revolving door can not be that great.

GDKP is a thing because people will swipe a CC to ensure they get certain drops when they drop, for these players, even a corrupt LC that favors them isnt enough, when they can ensure they get every single drop they want when it drops the first time, no matter what.
Plus carrying these players is a super good gold farm so more power to the CC warriors of this game!
More like LC ensures that loot doesn’t to go players not favored by the LC members. That’s the reality of it.
Clearly we’re hearing from one of those favored by their LC. Because if they were disfavored they’d be singing a different tune.
LOL! That is rich. LCs foster favoritism, creates unhealthy cliques in your guild and encourages butt-kissing over actual raid performance.

Im sure it is for a few, but the majority of people I know that run gdkps, do it because theyre tired of getting screwed over by the buddy system.
I think council with a good council is easily by far the best, for guilds with lacking information of all classes, dkp is good but is always subject to people putting things that are not the best for them higher than for people its the best for.
