i let my bank alt hang on to most of my gold and farmed materials, my main keeps enough for repairs and flight.

I like the premise of this idea, though not your proposed execution. Monsters that kill a player could get some type of buff and increased loot table, until they are slain by the next player.

no genius… storing cooking, prof, etc mats that you plan on using very soon all gets deleted if u happen to die. if the bank was account wide, it would still be available.
Your bank alt stays in Stormwind, and you mail them gold and materials to hold for you in case you die, genius.

If you can’t see the benefit of this concept, you play too many single player games.
It creates even more bonds for players.
Is it exploitable? If you literally spend months earning trust to loot 10g off a corpse, sure?

Months not required. 3 people could just do it all day every day. Look for victims in LFG, take them to a dungeon, and get them killed in a preplanned way. Loot corpse, exit dungeon, go back to LFG for a different dungeon. This incentivizes that. So it will happen all the time. Whereas now, there is no loot incentive, so it doesn’t happen that much.

Or like a memento of their time in HC, like maybe not an ear, but something with their name and level that is of no value and takes up one bag slot.

It sounds like you’re just throwing a tantrum from being told your idea isn’t rock solid. Very childish. If you have something to explain then explain it to me. I’m not going to go through your post history in order to converse with you.
So anyway. People will just recruit somebody from LFG, friend them, and loot them as they get them killed. Then move on to the next dungeon and do the same thing. You incentivize this with your idea, thus it will happen often as opposed to not often since it’s not incentivized right now. Instead of being a child about this you could have a conversation like an adult and explain ways to protect against this.
