Loot-A-Rang

For absolutely no reason, Loot-A-Rang suddenly needs Cataclysm Engineering 70 to use? WTF? WHY? It never needed 70 before. What possible reason is there for this change? Forcing people to go back and grind useless crap to almost max level just to use a toy? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!?@!$#?!@#$?@#!?!#@$?#!@?#@!#!@?#!@?$!@#@#$%R<?@#

edit: Loot-a-Rang is crafted with cata eng 40, but requires 70 to use. No other item in the game is crafted at a lower level than it is usable.

Another case of Blizzard sneakily adding in gold and time sinks

More like nerfing any possibility of having fun

At the beginning of Legion, Blizzard also raised the engineering skill level of the Loot-A-Rang. People were pissed, and they changed it back to the engineering skill of 1. I hope they change it back. I will submit a bug report because it has to be a mistake, right?

So you’re lazy to pick up loot?

Guess I didn’t notice in Legion, probably because my old main had leveled engineering in the old system, so it was default ā€˜max’. On new characters it is a huge waste of time to level old expansion skills. /spit on blizzdevs

It’s not lazy, it’s a fun toy that can be fun to use… Looting has become much easier than the days o yore

That’s probably incorrect. I remember getting loot-a-rang on 1 or 2 characters, and having to get my profession level up before I can use it.

I don’t remember the details – it’s been a few years. But ā€œneverā€ probably isn’t correct.

It worked two days ago, now it doesn’t. And I never had to grind out old-world-crap to use it before on any character.

I’ve got no problem with this change, and I’ve got about 30 characters with engineering. Powerful stuff should require investment.

It worked two days ago. I already invested plenty. And, really, powerful stuff? That is laughable. How about we say you need to grind stupid mats just to summon water for no reason. That sounds like fun!

There’s no question it’s a nerf of sorts.

Previously, you could just grab engineering on a brand new alt and then loot-a-rang from the start. This would save tons of time, which is absolutely powerful. You wouldn’t be whining about it if it wasn’t powerful.

It’s great for legacy raids or dungeons… aoe, loot-a-rang. No need to walk and fiddle with the corpses of your enemies.

You can use the Findle’s Loot-A-Rangwith no engineer at all…just find a engineer to make you one…

Convenient and powerful are two different things.

Findle’s only works only works on Draenor LOL

Findle’s is restricted to Draenor unless they changed it with the patch.

I brought this up a while ago. It was stealth nerfed by blizzard. I’m surprised they didn’t add a cooldown to it too.

Pretty disgusting and ridiculous too. This is something that is on Blizzard’s radar instead of actually tuning and balancing the game, and it shows.

Yeah, I already submitted mine. Like, it takes Cataclysm 40 just to learn it, why does using it take Cataclysm 70? Come on Blizzard, don’t be daft. Just leave it Engineering 1.
