This is my one non engi toon and I just feel naked without it. Looting is so much faster and smoother I really think it should be just baseline how we lot things

I got excited about the hunter fetch ability until I realized you can’t do anything while your pet is looting 
I might as well go over and get it for all the time it takes.

BoEs, quest items, and general mob items don’t go to the mailbox

Always feels like nine times out of ten, that my mailbox is nothing but grey quality teeth and robot parts

I’m annoyed that hunters can train their beasts to loot and I can’t tell my sentient demons to pick stuff up

Clean your inventory, silly!!
(this happens when you open a corpse but don’t loot everything. It will send the items you didn’t want to you anyway.)
To be fair, my Felguard has repeatedly told me that I cannot command him (to pick up my laundry)

Eh I dunno, little QoL things like Looterang are probably the single most visible impact of profession and class choice these days, and one of the few things where a player has actual agency (you’re not gonna get criticized for profession choice in dungeons).
I’d rather see other professions get perks that feel as nice so people have more reason to pick the profession they want rather than the profession that nets highest profits. Alchemy isn’t in too bad of shape that way (increased potion efficacy is pretty nice) but leatherworking, tailoring, blacksmithing, and inscription could use a good dose of that kind of love.

It seems Loot-A-Rang has been removed in the new expansion, it is no longer listed as a toy and greyed out on action bars when coping your character over to the PTR. There is a version in the toy collection but its only usable in Draenor. (Findle’s Loot-A-Rang)
Remember when we could USE the Rang at Cata Eng 1.

There was an issue I ran into where many of my toys and mounts didnt copy over.
I made the mistake of copying it all again and yeah…my stuff showed up, but it scrwed up my character and I had to start over.
this better be a bug like the later poster is saying… I may have to riot

LOTRO has a pretty cool system:
Trash and personal loot items (potions, food, gathering mats) go in your bags immediately, and if your bags are full, they go into a queue as soon as you kill a mob or gather a node (or open a chest I think?). You have two hours to resolve your bagspace issue and finish looting. Items that are BoEs pop a need or greed roll (Or maybe it’s just a single roll or pass, I can’t recall) and then if there’s no bagspace, the queue.
Now that I’m thinking about it, it’s pretty much the Torghast talent from the box of many things that just has you looting as you go. Something like that would be fantastic for transmog runs.
Been that way for a while, afaik. At least since Legion. The non-engi lootarang we got in Draenor was only usable while in Draenor either since Legion (or maybe mid-Legion or BFA, but it’s been that way for a while).
The engi lootarang still works. It still, oddly, confusingly, infuriatingly requires 70 cata engi to use. Is it gone in DF?
Yeah. It was baseline in WildStar and I miss it. What’s also lame about the loot-a-rang is that it takes a large chunk of Cata engineering just to use it. Heck, we’re able to make it before we can even use it! Some of my newer engineer alts can’t even use it.
What if I told you there is an even better way? What if you just didn’t even need to loot at all and all your items just went into your bags on their own?
Because FFXIV does that.

I tried deleting and then copying over my character again and same thing, the Loot-A-Rang is not in the toy collection so idk as I have searched on the forums and don’t see anywhere that they talked about it being removed. Again this is on the RC PTR that went up yesterday.
You need to sync your account but do NOT do that if you have done things in DF or you’ll lose those things…like your actual dragon riding mounts and have to earn them again on an alt. Most everything in the collection tab won’t come over just from a character copy. There is a button for an actual account sync.
99% of time is useless ability
