I was starting to feel like I was ready to quit this summer, maybe for good.
I started playing back in classic day 1. Been around for a long time. Was nearly ready to quit back in Warlords when they said they’d remove flight. But then I was alright when they realized the mistake and at least decided to put it back albeit in a ridiculous time gated fashion.
The flight time gate, and just how lackluster BfA has been was making me feel like I just don’t really like Blizzard much any more. Flight delays, removal of Master Loot, over reliance on RNG, endless damned grinds, stupid titanforging gear you can never complete and cap out and feel good about… all of it was just making me feel like, you know, I might be done with their BS. I don’t even know this company I used to love at one point.
Then they had a good Blizzcon this year. I saw their direction for Shadowlands, and it looked like maybe just maybe they had learned from some of their mistakes and were going to reverse course enough to right the ship before it sunk for good.
I was excited for Shadowlands. I’ve been playing more since Blizzcon than I probably have since about a year ago.
Then I see this crap. There is no justification for this. None. IF you had told us from the start of the xpack that it was going to be a limited time item, I could have accepted that. To tell us at this late date, with who knows, maybe less than a year before the new xpack that you’ll have to make 5 million gold in such a short amount of time… or you lose your chance for it forever. That’s just a scumbag move to spike token sales, and it’s incredibly transparent.
I don’t even feel like logging in tonight. Way to take the good will you earned with Blizzcon and the direction you seemed like you were going to go with Shadowlands and just toss it in a raging dumpster fire.
What is wrong with you guys? Seriously… what… is… wrong… with… you?
I used to love you guys as a company. I have been willing to forgive some mistakes.
But you guys are making it very damned hard to even bother supporting you and giving you any money for your product any more.
