Looks Like the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur might Be Unobtainable In 9.0.1 (Part 1)

Those already exist and are a huge gamble.

Not a fan of the BMAH myself. If Blizz doesn’t make a non-AH model for the vendors to sell, I won’t be getting this mount. And I probably won’t renew my subs–though that has less to do with the Brutosaur than with a whole lot of other things going on in WoW. I’m willing to wait until Shadowlands launches to see how that goes, but my patience has really run out.

Beta was 3 months almost exactly to bfa prepatch. Once shadowlands beta starts us farmers will really need to push to the last amount needed.

You have good company Blades

Didn’t they do a similar scheme with in-game store mounts? They created artificial scarcity to trigger the FOMO crowd. Not sure if it worked, though.

If this is going away please release the same one but without the AH vendor for far cheaper please some of us only care for the dinosaur not the AH part.

that was the ‘See You Later’ Bundle, which is 3 mounts, 3 pets, and those 3 helm transmogs

Well you guys have a good chance of this happening now that efforts don’t count.

What do you mean? What effort (besides gold making–or token buying) did the brutosaur ever require?

Awesome takes no effort to get, this thread never needed to exist.

It takes 5 mil gold. That takes a lot of time, or enough cash to buy tokens. I still don’t understand your previous comment that I quoted. What part of getting the brutosaur doesn’t “count” anymore? I’m seriously trying to understand your point.

After a few months of AH grinding, I managed to get mine and most of another one for my gf, around 8M total gold. I posted about this on woweconomy’s subreddit, “A tale of two longbois” if you want to read it. Basically i learnt to use the AH and sold whatever i could make. Good thing is I have that knowledge already for Shadowlands. Also I managed to hit the mark just before most guilds cleared the raid and the majority of my big sells tanked. I am sure it is still possible, with covid19 likely delaying Shadowlands’ release date, but will require more effort.

In case anyone wants to check it out: A Tale of Two Longbois.

That’s the one!

Another inspiring story of multiboxing. We all love multiboxers.

I mean, you could almost argue Blizzard is encouraging Multiboxing by putting such an expensive mount into the game. Just sayin’…

Well, after much deliberation, I finally bought the Brutosaur mount. I’m not broke, but it’s kind of sad to see so much gold gone. Welp. time to get back to gold making.

Grats to you! :+1:

I’m proud of everyone who manages to get it before the deadline (since I never will).

So basically, it’s just there for people who farm gold. There is no earthly way, playing 24/7, that the people actually playing the game earn that much gold. You can buy gold from a site, you can get it from tokens, or some AH goblins etc. can earn it, but if you are not single-mindedly amassing gold… no amount of “playing” World of Warcraft will get you this much gold.

This is a gigantic slap in the face. Whether they get rid of it completely, or make an even more expensive version of it in Shadowlands, it is one of the biggest "F You!!!'s I have ever gotten from Blizz.
