a Ferrari is easily obtained by anyone with $300k lying around too.
Um. You think $500 and $300,000 are equivalent?
Or that the “prestige” of a pixel mount is the same as the “prestige” of a high-end sports car? Really?
You make it sound like there’s some sort of expiration date on gold.
how did i make it sound like that? all i’m saying is that its not easily obtained, it could take someone 5 years to get enough gold for it, thats fine. 5 years is a long time, and i would say thats a hard long commitment. My arguement is against someone saying that people shouldnt have to work towards a prestigious reward.
I don’t think I saw anyone arguing that. My own argument is that we should be allowed to work toward the reward, not have it taken away arbitrarily. If Blizzard didn’t want everyone having a mobile AH, they shouldn’t have put that on the mount to begin with. If they wanted the AH mount to be limited, they should have labeled it as such from the start (and they should have put a less-expensive non-AH version in).
500 bucks, for some people, is pocket change.
Also, for some people, 5 million gold was not some arduous task. Using a dozen alts to farm missions in WoD and Legion got you a ton of gold while barely needing to move your characters.
Why jump into an argument without context?
Huh?
No, seriously, I’ve been following this argument from the beginning. What context are you talking about?
a million dollars to some people is pocket change too. at the end of the day, its still expensive and prestigious to the majority of the population. you’re also arguing without context.
And people are protesting the removal of the reward they were working toward, so I don’t see your point. “I want this to be available so I can work toward it” is not the same as “I don’t want to work toward a reward.”
stop arguing without context. my argument to a reply earlier in the post, not the op
500 bucks is pocket change to a much larger number of people.
Sure, it’s “expensive and prestigious” if you just started playing in BfA and don’t want to spend any real money on buying gold.
THANKS FOR FINALLY GETTING MY POINT. its expensive and prestigious to the majority of the population and it should be allowed to be worked towards. ITS ALL IM SAYING.
Believe me it was arduous, very arduous.
Im just arguing with the same idea as his argument. If someone had 300k, they go and sign some papers and they get the car but thats not my point. I didnt say 500 and 300,000 are equivalent, once against, putting words in my mouth and where would you draw the line where a price point is too high? End of the day, throwing $500 on pixels is not viable for the majority so its prestigious. All im saying. If you dont think its prestigious, then tell that to the hundreds of people that whisper me complimenting me on my mount.
my first argument is against someone who complained about working towards the mount. my second argument is against some dude saying its not prestigious. Everything else you’re trying to argue against just makes you look like an idiot cause youre throwing things out of context.
One, goldsink mounts are not prestigious. Vendor mounts are not evidence of skill, time played, luck, or any other metric you might want to put on display. No other goldsink mounts are being removed.
Two, no one is complaining about working towards the mount. Only complaints are coming from those who have found out, not by Blizzard telling them, but by someone digging into the data, that none of their work to the mount will matter because the time frame has been abruptly cut short. Again, no other mounts are being treated in this manner.
one, look up the definition of prestigious then tell that to the hundreds of people that look at the mount with admiration.
two, i specifically replied to the post complaining, so again, stop arguing out of your asss
Honestly, I don’t look at any vendor or low-drop mount in “admiration”. I just think someone got lucky. I would feel sorry for anyone who is so easily impressed.
you could apply that same thinking to a lot of “prestigious” things. At the end of the day, i just used an adjective to describe something that i saw fit, ain’t nothing wrong with that.
This is true about many current things. It’s the only way team diablo knows to hang on to subscribers.
I miss the old WoW.
