To make it clear that I think Blizzard is making a dumb decision.
The game should not screw up non-progression incentives that keep players logging in, including those incentives that might take some time to reach. It’s low-effort, low-cost stuff that Blizzard can milk for years. It’s a design direction that might very well make players leery of pursuing future incentives if they think they’re going to learn that such rewards, which they could complete at their own pace in every prior expansion, will be made unachievable by expansion’s end. I’ll be skeptical as Hell of any similarly priced incentive in Shadowlands.
Heck with class balance, the morons at Blizzard can’t even get set it-and-forget it gold sinks right.
Gold farming like a mad thing is going to be a real crappy way for me to be spending the next year. Why must this be a feat of strength? Why can’t well enough be left alone. Just let us farm the mount for the next 2 or 3 years it was going to take us to farm it.
An additional thought, Kaivax. Part of the anguish with the removal of the Caravan Brutosaur is that it is a completely unique model. If you guys were to add another Brutosaur without the NPCs, that might salve some of the complaints.
Both of the other mounts that have vendors have version without NPCs available, so precedent is there.
They could have a FoS (and even add a title) for people to show off that they got the mount during BfA and leave the mount on the vendor so people could still get it later on.
The same way they handled the Warlock green fire quest line. Did it during MoP? Here’s a FoS and a fancy title, but you could still do the quest line.
Maybe. Not intentionally. People who don’t agree with my viewpoint tend to see it as antagonistic. That’s not something I can help though. I mean, if you’re feeling antagonized because I said some people on GD are immature, entitled, and outragists without referring to you specifically… maybe you should think about why that is?
I’d think it’s probably because you either feel that way maybe a little bit yourself, or you’re putting far too much weight on my opinions. But that’s just me.
Mocking? Eh, I dunno. I am saying that I think it’s really silly to be legitimately upset over a video game. Other people are saying that too. This is an open discussion forum where all sides of an issue can be discussed. Just because you don’t like my opinion doesn’t mean I’m mocking people.
Absolutely not. Ultimately, my hope would be that others would say, “you know what? he’s right. this is a video game, it is silly to get this upset over it.”
That’s where I’m at. Sometimes I might get a little animated, sometimes I might get a little verbose and snarky, but that’s my whole deal. Just like people who post here that ARE upset about it want to share their upset so that maybe someone sees it and changes are made, I want to share my opinion that it’s silly to be upset so that maybe someone sees it and agrees, and the forums become less immature, entitled, and outragey.
Interesting that you’re telling me I can’t do that. It’s also interesting that you seem so threatened by my posts. Am I that important to you? Or… are you actually feeling a bit silly and the truth kinda stings?
Either way, that’s all stuff you have to work out.
Im so so about it. Like I’d love another go at the MoP phonenix mounts, but like it was known when they were introduced that it was limited. Like if its something achieveable then I’m fine with time limits, but blizzard is forcing an unhealthy playstyle if they make gold sink mounts regularly and all time limited.
All I’m saying is this: I think that some people on GD are immature, entitled, and habitually outraged. You either think I’m speaking about you when I say that, or you don’t. If you do… why do you think that is?
If you don’t see yourself as immature, entitled, or habitually outraged, then why does it matter if that’s my opinion? Are my posts truly that important to you?
The great thing about our society is that many people who don’t know crap can meet up in anonymous forums and call each other stupid and the reality is we are all stupid.
