I don’t think it drops at all anymore. They take the AoTC mounts out, if I remember right.
Edit: Do they still drop? I thought they got taken out and that’s why people are so adamant about selling runs to get them.

Grove warden the brown moose with blue highlights? Thats an AOTC mount. Limited time reward for Ahead of the Curve in WoD, last raid.
Much like the yak it was on the “to do list” for me and I’m sure many others that could not raise the funds in the current content.
They may as well have just moved it to the blizzard cash store as the mount has a direct value based on token cost.
Anyone know what the mount is worth in real money based on tokins at the moment?
Nah its nonlonger obtainable.
Thats why #FriendshipMoose was so big during that time.
540$ I believe.
Approximately $500 to $560 are the numbers thrown around. Maybe more if token value drops.
Yeah that’s what I thought, I remember trying to get the wolf from Garrosh in MoP but the group I was in couldn’t clear and I never got it. Was pretty sad about that for awhile.
Only takes into account their users, not everyone. Regardless, that yak and mammoth went from your precious small percentage of rich players to roughly half of the playerbase. Why? Because they had the years to earn it and no one took it off of them.
Which has zero to do with you thinking you know how the economy was back in Wrath and Mists for those mounts and being wrong. You seem to have this delusion that you having gold means something to this argument. It doesn’t.
I agree. Keep your nonsense out of it since you’ve been proven wrong and can’t even have the correct discussions.
Your amount of gold you’ve been able to earn doesn’t have a thing to do with understanding the old economy. No one cares if you can work the system. But sure, keep bragging as if that matters. The only thing it proves is that your internet ego gets inflated by having a mount.
Facts are that the mammoth and yak were absolutely the highest priced gold sinks back then and the brutosaur is no different.
Small percentage get those mounts when current. Percentage goes up quite a lot over the years, because, as has been said many times… these mounts have been long term side goals for quite a lot of people.
No one cares what percentage have it now. People care that their goal is being taken away from them for the future for no reason whatsoever.
Can’t believe I wake up to find this nonsense.
This is correct, but moose was AOTC which is heroic. No longer obtainable.
Ok back on topic “meh brutosaur REEEEEEE”
I’m a broken record, but THIS. Blizzard did not say it was exclusive from the get-go. There’s many of us, including me, that were working toward the mount and spending gold on other things in the meantime thinking it’d be there just like the yak and mammoth, and every other goldsink mount in the game.
Now, suddenly, out of the blue, that’s changed?! It’s utter nonsense and people are calling them out for it rightfully. And guess what, those of us annoyed aren’t in the minority.
No, it’s not a bunch of screaming children, we’re calling Blizzard out for their nonsense and you people upset about it get to deal with it! (Not you Rhi <3, that was a general statement.)
If only Zandalari Troll Druids can shapeshift into a long boi. I mean wha…
I didn’t think so since we were agreeing.
I’m not shilling at all, and I think calling someone a shill is the laziest, most cop-out thing you can do. I just happen to enjoy the game, and if Blizzard ever does something that truly makes me legitimately upset, or takes away my entertainment, that’ll change. I’ll find something new to be entertained by.
A shill would try to push that on others. I don’t care if you like the game or not or play it or not. In fact, GD would be a lot better for me if a lot of people didn’t post here. That’s not shilling.
Nah. I’d be upset over that.
I just like playing the game, and I don’t find it worth my while to get legitimately upset over it. And I think it’s really silly to let yourself get legitimately upset over a video game.
I really hope blizz doesn’t start some gold sink achieve trend. I’d be so angry if they were heading this way.
Brutosaur will wipe my gold reserves if I ever get there. And I likely won’t recover any time soon.
And if they do this every expac I doubt I’d be able to keep up. Most of my gold came from last expac. Barely meet raid demands with current income.
twitches
O please elune no! I would just cry if that happened.
Not only this, but they would have waited longer to announce its removal if wowhead didnt data mine it and force a response.
Yes. As I do with most gold sink mounts, I save up over multiple expansions.
Well if there is a massive surge on tokins they will drop in price possibly driving the direct cash to mount conversion to hundreds more…
Absolutely appalling behaviour. This is exactly what is wrong with games now days.
Instead of creating great content they rely on “limited offer” to create desire and urgency (sales 101) or loot boxes (gambling)
Preying on the playerbase like this should be illegal.
I fully support the idea of tokins to allow those who are time poor to spend their time doing the “fun bits” of an mmo as without them you end up with gold farmers and bots engaging in game breaking behaviour.
Going that next step to say… you guys have xxxxx time to pay us $700? $800$ dollars each or your chance of getting the mount will be gone or You can fight over it in the BMAH where the real money price will be well over $1000… come on really?
Are you so surprised that the players are kicking up a stink?
Well that’s odd. I think calling people who are upset about this immature entitled outragists is pretty lazy too. Strange.
Cool. Then don’t engage in the thread since it has no bearing on you as a player. Ride that high horse somewhere else.
