Work in retail haven’t had a Thanksgiving in years since that’s when the Black Friday event starts. Why it’s still called Black Friday when it starts on Thursday I will never know.

The launch will likely be a s***show unless they force the devs to work over Thanksgiving, which when you consider the crunch they are likely under combined with the stress of covid/wildfires, it might be a bit much to ask for some people.

Well there goes my plan to possibly call out sick one day if I stay up too late playing, I work Wednesday - Saturday and if I call out the day before or after a holiday then I lose my holiday pay for that day.
Why would they choose the week of a major holiday anyway?? It makes no sense, won’t most of the devs be off that week? Who’s gonna fix the inevitable bugs that always happen on launch week? Either the week before or the week after would have been better all around imo.
