Dragon flight will give HMT and Orc priest
and

LFD,HMT, Tauren and Draenei rogues.

In 10.0 Rogues, Mages and Priests available for all races.

Nothing to promise yet, but they want to work towards a place where race isn’t a limiting factor. But the timeline is something they’ll have to be flexible on. A lot of the classes have a lot of content and lore requirements like for Paladin and Warlock

Joking aside, that’s actually great news. My argument against class restrictions was always much the same as my argument against hard faction lines. Just because a class wasn’t common among the race we chose, doesn’t mean that our character couldn’t have been an outlier who basically said screw that and went and found a teacher. Same for faction. No reason a person in one of the factions couldn’t turn coat and join the other side.

I am glad they are loosening up on class restrictions a little. I hope for more in future.

Unfortunately I think Druid is prolly one of the hardest classes to hand out. The whole racial animal forms means more work than just throwing Paladin at Night Elf, for instance. I would love to see more Druid races though, and I hope you get to play your Dwarf Druid someday.

Also yes to Vulpera Druids because awwwww. :slight_smile:

If the forums circa Cataclysm announcement were still around, I’d dig up my ranting and raving that they gave dwarves shaman instead of druid for our “wildhammer fantasy”.

Imagine thinking that rogue is a class that should be barred from races.

Good. After Night elves got mages, this lost all meaning.

And I don’t want to hear “but deh Highburn got invited back to the pool party!” No! That’s such a wild change from what was established before.
