What will run WoW with middle to middle-high settings?
How is the support for Mac (eg how many glitches, bugs etcs,)

Longtime Mac user here! I have always used my Mac to run WoW, and have had no real problems with running it! My most recent Mac is a 2017 iMac with maxed RAM and a terabyte of hard drive space. I am able to run WoW at just below the highest setting just fine!
I have experienced no problems with my Mac doing anything I would like to do in WoW, including dungeons and raids!

Was thinking of getting a MacBook pro 14 inch. What is the difference between M4 or M4 pro and how much does it affect performance in wow?

The M4 Pro chip is faster than M4. It all boils down to how much you want to spend versus how much speed you want!
That said, I have never had a problem with using a middle-of-the-road Mac to run WoW.

The M4 Pro chip if you can budget, but you can also look for a used 14” M1 Max that will be faster for gaming than a M4 Pro. How do I know? I bought a 16” M4 Pro as I wanted the longest lasting battery power with enough speed to be on par or faster than my 14” M1 Max and nano-texture (have it on my studio display and love it). With the game settings set pretty high and exactly the same my M1 Max edges out my M4 Pro by 20-30 frames but I run /console maxfps 60 and both run at 60 for the most part.
Here’s the setting of my 2 MacBook Pros:
14” M1 Max 10/24 32GB 1TB
16” M4 Pro 14/20 48GB 1TB
I am not worried about a slight performance loss, it’s minor but interesting the M1 Max is still a great processor. Also bought and returned a 16” M4 Max due to the battery life and never really needed Max power for the work I do professionally.

I’m on an M2 Pro Mac Mini
I play on high settings with few tweaks. Uncapped fps is 120-150.
Buy a Mac that suits your needs that does NOT include gaming. Bump RAM up 1 upgrade if you can. Spend $$ in external SSD.

you can play native res but using the super res ai upscape works better
