So… I was one of those people who LOVED classic for about a month and then quit for about month and a half after burning my self out lol… I’m looking to join WoW again, especially since I am very excited for the Blizzcon announcements and what the new WoW content will give to us. I need a new Class/Race to play as on the Horde. I’m torn between Zandalari Shaman or Druid. Please help me!
Druid has more versatility, but Shaman is more sexy spell drama.
Honestly, i’d wait for blizzcon tomorrow.
Its so hard to choose. I still have 24 days left on my subscription and want to get to max level and try to unlock the 2nd part of flying in that time. Do you happen to know what time at Blizzcon will include the new WoW content?
I’m pretty sure you have access to trial characters without subscription so maybe give them both a go. Something to note though, if you haven’t put in a lot of hours in retail, chances are you don’t actually have access to the Zandalari race yet as they need to be unlocked before you can play as them.
If anything give a go at the two classes upto lvl 20 without a subscription, then try each classes trial at 110 to see how they kind of progress to see which one you like the feel of more.
They are both pretty versatile classes though.
Zandalari Druid does have wicked shapeshift forms though so I’d personally be inclined to lean that way.
Another thing of note is retail is a ton different to classic and previous expansions so that may or may not be your cup of tea.
There aren’t very many deterministic rewards for example, a lot of the end game is based on RNG and short daily grinding. Some people like that, some people loathe it, it all depends on the type of person you are.
I’m very familiar with BFA and took a break a couple months ago after I unlocked all faction races on both Horde/Alliance. I gave Classic a try for about a month before burning myself out completely. I’m now coming back roughly a month and a half later. I think the break was very much needed as I’m finding the game to be more enjoyable again. I always like to come back after taking a break and trying out a new class/race combo. I’m aiming to get Pathfinder part 2 now and unlocking the two new races coming out and trying the Nazjatar and Mecha zone.
Might I add Classic was fun but I think I enjoy retail a bit more at times. Some of the quests get very repetitive in classic and I start to snooze when running everywhere lol…
It looks like they start the WoW info tomorrow at noon their time.
Honestly, i’d do what the other poster suggested and Trial them. Personally i love Druid and Shaman almost equally so I’m not super helpful here. Druid only just barely wins for me by virtue of being unable to be a Night Elf Shaman.
First up, let me prepare you for some very bad news.
Sylvanas ordered the Horde to burn down your treehouse and killed many of your citizens in the process in some sort of mindless rage, all because her sister Alleria started to hear voices and had spoken to Sylvanas who also started to hear voices.
Oh and Turalyon died or very close too it as he had started aging again now that he is out of the Neither. My guess anyway is that Alleria being the strong willed Elf that she is doesn’t want to let Turalyon go and is searching for a power that might keep him alive.
Soon afterwards Furion turned into a Werebear and started scaring the wild life along with some Troll who thinks it was Wild Bear but soon afterwards we see an Owl fly up to Tyrande who was standing next to her Furion.
Later Sylvanas ordered Saurfang to gank Furion which he did so but it was Saurfang didn’t get any honor points for that as Muffy’s life long squeeze… Tyrande came and healed him.
I think that is how it went down anyway welcome back.

I say this cuz Zuldazar is atrocious! LOL do you like running up and down the stairs? using flight points to check your bank then mission table?
Whereas, Boralus is like a small village where everything you need is right next to each other, literally 10 steps away!
I would wait till 8.3 if you can possibly wait, the current game is pretty dead. I have a strong preference toward shaman just because enhancement still feels fast paced like theres always something to do, soo that’s what I would reccomend but that’s very subjective and everyone probably has a different answer.
Though I will be going ELE sham since vulpera totems look like little cute foxes!
That said you should make sure you have a 380 ilvl character active for the anniversary event or you will miss out on the limited time deathwing mount
Yes, before I took a break I played on Alliance. I’m more inclined to join the horde once again especially since the new Vulpera race interest me more than Mechagnomes.
