Looking for tips regarding reconciliation

As one of the most dominant frost mage players in North America [e.g., objectively speaking], how do I reconcile my solo shuffle dominance with my inability to maintain a 50% win rate in battleground blitz?

you hit esc, log out, go to create new character, level to 80, and queue it up again on a brand new alt with fresh mmr gg ez. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

Blame your team like everyone else!

That being said, BGB will absolutely have more losses out of your control than arena will because there are more people at more places and more objectives.

I don’t think many ppl play blitz on mage. Doesn’t really excel at anything there. I saw very few mages when I pushed hwl.

So, it’s probably just not as giga-inflated as other specs that have a good bg niche, and easy to get caught in an elo hell.

Mage had like 12 R1 spots last season lol. Only spec that possibly had more was ret.

@OP, win/loss means nothing. It’s just something the sweaty try hard duos like to brag about. All it means is that you got to your metaphorical wall faster/slower.

Different game types, less personal agency over a win in a BG. People either have to hard carry or rely on being consistently useful to climb at a slower pace, and it’s easily possible to get unlucky team RNG if you aren’t like an insane player who is always where they need to be, doing the right thing.

Hmm idk, I played maybe 200 games last season at 2.4-3k mmr in late Nov, Dec. Hardly saw any mages.

I can’t find info on s1 but live there are currently only 35 mages above 2.4, but 86 rogues and 82 hunters, 75 warriors. Frost is their best spec, ranked #16/25 dps specs (excluding aug).

Maybe mages just fell off blitz at some point.

I’m not a blitz main, but mass polymorph, ice wall, ring of frost, and blast wave are INSANE bg utility.

I got my elite set on mage this season playing in BGB and I felt like I could win every map that wasn’t, like, DWG solo.

I’m not sure tbh. They’re definitely not rare by any means. And having like 10+ R1 spots means there’s 10k+ mages queuing (frost mage), which is a lot more than most specs. Warrior as another example I think had like 4 for arms and fury.

There were indeed 11 spots last season. Also only 2 that got R1 last season have even really bothered to play this season it seems.
