Looking for TIPS on Balance druid survivability in PvP

I understand season just started and damage is all over the place, we’re not full gear, but I feel like my balance druid just flops the moment someone connects with me. Wondering if anyone had some tips for new balance druid player to help them live longer in Arenas, Shuffles and 1v1s. Thanks for any help. Hope everyone is having fun.

I’m still omega bad so listen to someone better if the chime in, but learn all your kiting abilities and work on utilizing all of them. I’m still not using stamp roar hardly at all, for example. And of course the timing in which you use those abilities is also equally important. Try to match 1 for 1 for a melees gap closer to your kiting ability. And mainly just keep spamming games. It’s literally the most important part. That was Venruki’s advice to someone on Twitch who asked what was the most important thing to getting better at the game or climbing. “Okay this sounds dumb, but you literally just need to play the game. A lot. Every rank 1 player has thousands upon thousands of games. They put in the work. Just play the game.”

Match mobility with your utility. E.g. if warrior charges, typhoon them. If they start bladestorming wild charge jump away.

Boomy in literally all situations is about reading the state of the game and playing around that. If you know they can’t connect, you have time to setup your eclipses and farm AP. If you know they’re about to pop cds and stun you, you pre bear it.

This early in the season it is full on melee meta.

All about DH, uhDK, War, and their Disc healbot. All other specs got representation, but nothing to speak about.

Its just badly balanced…as usual.

Bear doesnt do much in the current state of the game, 16% FR, and some extra armor that dont work against most spec.

The very very few specs that cares about armor does so much st burst dmg that its like you didnt have armor anyways.

If you’re playing at lower MMR the best thing to work on is positioning. In shuffle most melee will w key on top of you no matter what even if they’re los their healer. You can win a lot of rounds just by dragging them around.

In shuffle, I usually try to root/cyclone either the healer or someone thaat is causing me harm

id theyre an annoying melee person i use typhoon and mass root then root

if theyre close to you mass root then long cast root

remember disengage and bear form are uour best friends

but its rhe same all the way around

The armour is irrelevant, you bear because it increases your max health and provides you with 2 frenzied regens, one passively and one on use. It makes it harder for you to die.
