try ffxiv its fun
Guild Wars 2 is always worth a try. There isn’t a terrible storyline to it either. its very solo friendly, even the world raid bosses you can just show up to, not need to join any groups and complete for loots. It is also FREE 2 play, for the base game. TONS of armor customizations / pets.
EverQuest 2 is also worth trying out. I mean 22 races and 26 classes to pick, ANY class can be ANY race as well! It comes with its own tab for appearance, ANY armor type can be worn, despite class. (as long as it doesn’t say class specific). It also has a ton of pets, and a ton of mounts. This game also comes with a really awesome crafting system, and an amazing housing system, like you can get lost in the housing system for thousands of hours! This game is also FREE 2 Play up to the Altar of Malace expansion, that is 11 expansions worth of content to try out. 100% soloable to max level. You can even hire a mercenary to help you out as you level. Different races different class choices there. So if you are leveling as a healer, hire a tank merc. Leveling as a DPS, hire a healer merc!
Try reading the OP, it’s also fun.
Honestly, LotRO sounds like a game I really do need to try soon. I love WoW and ESO and both have plenty enough solo content and lore to keep me engaged, with ESO having some great storytelling as well - but a nice retirement-type MMO to have in my back pocket sounds nice, too.
And this is why no one likes FFXIV players, including other/former FFXIV players.
No one’s upset, I just think some basic reading comprehension would help. FFXIV players especially seem to lack it. And they also have this funny habit of trying to passive aggressively suggest because someone asked them to read something properly, that they must be upset.
Please go outside!
no thanks im good
try ffxiv its fun
Get help. overcome anxiety. meet people. be happy.
Oh and accept Jesus.
Skyrim comes to mind or maybe Elden Ring.
Witcher III and God of war have some nice open world content.
Hogwarts Legacy looks promising so far. I think it will be released this month.
I really enjoy Ori and the blind forest at the moment, but no open world and no customizations.
?
plenty of people like ffxiv players, including myself
just because u are upset doesnt mean ppl dont like me or other ffxiv players
Dungeons and Dragons Online has a number of difficulty levels allowing you to solo content based on your ability.
There are also open world zones which are pretty easy.
You can group easily enough if you find people (its tiny compared tl WoW).
You can buy a couple of things once off to unlock the bits you want, or subscribe and access everything.
Its loosely based on D & D if that is your thing.
Harry Potter used to be my favorite IP, but since the creator came out as an unapologetic TERF (Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist), I have not been able to enjoy anything HP-related. She won’t be J.K. Rowling in my money.
However, I am familiar with the game style of Hogwart’s Legacy and have seen several gameplay videos of it. The best comparison to Hogwart’s Legacy would be games like God of War. Your character is human-sized, so the camera doesn’t zoom in quite as close as the one in Stray, but it does zoom in a bit during combat and you’ll move the camera with our mouse during combat.
If you can handle those, I think Hogwart’s Legacy will be fine for you. You could potentially struggle with any Quidditch portions, as I’m not familiar with how they handle flying there and motion sickness with Quidditch was a complaint in earlier HP games.
But the majority of the game should be fine for you. I don’t see much in the way of unconventional motion or extreme camera movements.
she has nothing to apologize for tho
harry potter is still a good series of books + movies. new hp game coming out as well
So… by your logic a person that says there are two genders is worse than the company you are paying your monthly sub fee to? Kay.
Thanks for the input! I think I remember from some of the videos that there isn’t any actual quidditch in the game.
Still thinking on it… though running out of time to pre-order at this point!
Thanks again!
this is guild wars 2 for sure. but if you’re leaning more toward a shooter like halo or gears, i’d suggest defiance. both f2p, tons of gameplay for open world and solo, and in gw2 you can have the best gear no matter how you play. defiance is basically an open world mmorpg but with guns. i liked it a lot more than destiny
Depends upon what she wants. Does she want LGBTQIA+ fans? Then she probably should apologize (though it probably wouldn’t do any good at this point.)
She doesn’t seem to mind that many of us dislike her now and no longer buy HP products, so I see no logical reason for her to apologize. Her opinion is already well-known and there really is no going back.
The best thing she can do is keep her mouth shut and collect the money she’s still getting.
Much worse, yes.
company that actively harassed women to the point of death = ok
woman that says theres 2 genders, an opinion which everyone is entitled to = not ok
hmm…
anyways, ffxiv is a good game and worth trying out
Woah… I’m just baffled right now that there are actually people with such a mindset… like… wtf… Blizzard did horrific things and in Shred’s mind a person speaking her own opinion is worse…
opinion = not allowed
ok after reading through the thread, all the suggestions and your responses, i see you have tried a little gw2. first i’d recommend giving that another shot. you can get a lot more hours of fun for free out of that game. and the store currency can be bought with gold. it’s something you can really spend time on as a solo player
since you mentioned halo/gears, i’d try defiance. it’s basically an mmorpg with guns you can play solo. also f2p
one game i haven’t seen here is neverwinter. i didn’t get into the endgame much, but from your d3 exp, it sounds like you’re fine just leveling and trying different characters. neverwinter is also f2p and really fun for that
I’ve never heard of Neverwinter o.o
Not really something I care about tbh. There are plenty who do, though.
I don’t need to try it out more than I have because playing for an hour reveals that it feels exactly like a Final Fantasy XI / World of WarCraft hybrid. That appeals to a lot of people, but after 7 years in XI, I never want to be reminded of it while playing.
