To start off, I’d post on my Evoker, but she’s still not showing up in my character selection =(
So, I’ve ran a few M+ dungeons on my 375 Preservation Evoker, and I’ve found that, when stuff starts hitting the fan, and I’ve exhausted my Dream Breath, Spiritbloom, Essences and even my Rewind, and my groups still wanting to fall over (They aren’t the brightest bulbs, but they also aren’t the dullest) I’m not sure what else to do besides try to spam Living Flame until something comes back up, but that barely does enough to keep the group up (I’m also using Fire Breath on CD)
It also doesn’t help my group doesn’t really like to stay near each other, even after I’ve asked =( (Part of me feels they do it to annoy me, since we find little ways to annoy each other, but doing it in a timed dungeon kinda goes beyond annoying me ><)
Anyway, I’m looking for tips on times when it’s just to much and I’ve exhausted everything I have.
My group is working on +8-10 keys now and I have had some unhealable moments as well but it basically came down to if something wasn’t kicked or a boss mechanic was done incorrectly. Those moments will crush any group. Dps still gotta put in some effort to keep themselves alive
Some trash is kinda nuts for aoe damage though, the first packs in jade temple always have me spooked.
I think the refreshing health potions on the AH are like 15g per and they are a very nice heal. Our group picked up a ton of those and it’s helped our frequent dead players live a bit more lol
stay out of ruby life pools, it’s pure masochism to pug heal
as to your question, I’ve been leaning hard on temporal anomaly to fill gaps. It’s not recommended in the “meta”, but the “meta” isn’t concerned with trying to heal through flamedancers not being stunned in a ruby +9 by DPS all barely pulling 20k

Could you link a build for Temporal Anomoly?
I’m not worried about the meta…I just want to be able to get through these and improve =( I really LOVE this class.
I’m using the following for raging. I picked up the aoe sooth and the reduced CD tailswipe so I could interrupt some of the major murder casts the DPS don’t interrupt. I’ve found that if it can’t be kicked and needs to be stunned/knocked a lot of DPS completely turn off their brain and don’t bother wondering why they’re dying to massive AoE damage over and over again.

I’ve been really happy with TA. The main reason is I can spread echos easily (well, cept for those guys off at the 9th hole golfing) and that lets me do a really good job keeping reversion on everyone and then you can also get the boosted heal from from verdant embrace/lifebind followed by dream breath. I didnt find much use for the dream flight that much tho. But, TA works out for me much better than Stasis.
TA with emerald blossom in groups can heal a lot and I use it during the storm/tempests in Ruby.
I might end up having to switch back to stasis for m+ (which is what I mostly plan to do) if it doesnt hold out but so far it’s worked out well for me. You can see my spec here.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one that feels this way about RLP. I ran one earlier with a group me and my friend made and it was absolute hell. I usually do 40k HPS in Normal Vault steadily and do similar HPS in most M+ dungeons, but RLP is just really rough.
You can’t bully heal your way through RBL like you can most of the other dungeons. Like Jade temple has an absurd amount of aoe damage if people arent kicking stuff, but you can still mostly bully through it with raw HPS and your own interrupt and knocks
But Ruby… the flame dancer and fire elemental packs will just straight up murder you if people arent interrupting almost all the heavy hitters. Even 7s and 8s are just brutal.
I thought I was just doing a trash job in Ruby.
It felt crazy that to live against those big flame elemental packs, even somewhat comfortably, I needed rewind, a full verdant, dreambreath, spirit bloom combo with a TA before the combo and stasis of that same combo as well as 1 or 2 personals. Even with all that I was constantly thinking oh crap oh crap oh crap.
All that for a trash pack seemed extreme for only a 8 or even a 4.
I’d say use stasis early.
Stasis then spritbloom and verdant + dreambreath. That’s gonna chunk everyone to full.
Then you can use stasis to fire it all off again whenever you are ready. By the time you’ve done this those three cooldowns are ready again. 3 massive group chunks.
If your group is still screwed they need some practice.

You can actually VE outside the stasis and it will still affect the stasis dream breath.
I usually VE>stasis>DB>SB>TA. Then you just VE again before releasing your stasis. That seems to be the biggest chunk of healing you can fit into one.

Yeah. I don’t personally run TA but good to know.
Probably better to TA after stasis if you run the echo application thing.
You can always FireBreath Rank 4-5 which should heal people if talented, then Living flame should hit everyone in the group.
Use Verdant Embrace more. Always follow it up with Rank 1 Dream breath. Use precast echos on ranged that don’t like to be within ranged (i see you hunters).
You basically cast Echos and pop them with green spells or Reversions. Use Time Dilation a lot, it’s a very strong CD. Be aware of how much your spells will heal so you don’t over heal - for example i know a non-crit, echo’d Verdant Embrace will heal for 50k x 2. That’s roughly 1/3 of an HP bar. Echo’d Dream Breath will also do 1/3 of everyone’s HP bar, but over time. Echoing spiritbloom will be closer to 1/2 an hp bar.
Reversion complicates this as the talent Grace Period increases the healing of those with reversion and in combination with Golden Hour can make gauging heals difficult. I try to keep 2 Reversions rolling on the tank and 1 charge for spot healing.
Watching guides of all the dungeons is the most beneficial thing however. Knowing what’s deadly and YOU being able to make a difference helps the whole group. Lets be honest, DPS don’t want responsibility. Use your CCs to stop casts, use CDs to mitigate damage. Knowing what other classes can do to help and calling for it, example, DKs AMSing the poly runes on the floor in Azure Vaults Or advising the group that the mobs that pull with the “distance check” whelps do a frontal that obliterates the whole group; everyone needs to stand behind them.
Really, take 30minutes of your day to watch simple guides, it will make a huge difference.

Thanks for the info. I like the idea of fitting a VE outside of stasis so you can slap in one more heal and just pre VE the release of stasis.
Im gunna try some more Ruby later today, but doing more or less the above was my experience and still feeling desperately like the team was going to fall over. Maybe its just a big mechanics check but it feels over tuned.
how do you find globals to cast living flame? (for healing at least.)
Ruby life pools is fun, didn’t time it yet on a relevant key… got close on an 11 though.
Great post. Echo (and TA with echo application) gives the class a lot of flexibility. A lot of that flexibility depends on how others play (positioning), but it gives a lot of upside to Prevoker.
