I got Kleia sometime last year, but I am stuck without Kalisthene 
I mostly see Pelagos and Sophone lately. Realm hopping never seems to change the person so I don’t bother to do that. Does it actually work for you?
yes realm hopping worked for me. I got it the second time it came around
Understand that there is no such thing as realm hopping anymore, only shard hopping. The game only keeps as many shards open as it needs, not one for every server. If you join a group started by someone on a different server, you will most likely still end up on the same shard you were on before - unless you know somehow that that person is in Bastion and on a different shard so you join them.
If you can arrange that situation then great, otherwise you just have to be lucky and happen to join a group right when a new shard is being formed and it chooses you to be placed in the new one.
The exception to this is if you change war mode status. War mode shards are necessarily distinct so if you switch from on to off or off to on you are guaranteed a different shard. It does at least double your chances in a situation like this, although typically requires a bit of extra travel.
