Is there any way to find groups for elite quest mobs in the game before level 50? Apparently there is a way to find groups by quest with LFG but that is only once you reach level 50. I’m level 26 leveling in BFA content and I keep getting quests that require me to kill an elite mob with a suggested group size of 3. I’m playing as a rogue so I can’t really solo them. I tried asking in 1. General but so far I have never seen a single person say anything in that chat, and nobody answers. Do I really just have to wait until level 50 to do these quests? I could just sit around waiting for someone to tag the mob, but that could take hours.
the premade ‘custom’ or ‘questing’ group finder might be able to help.
I can’t use the Premade Group Finder yet. It unlocks at level 50.
well… that narrows it down to “friends list, guild, community, local and beginner chat”.
I don’t have anyone on my friends list. I’m not in a guild. Beginner Chat told me to use General Chat isntead. General Chat has 3 players in it who are nowhere near my level, and they aren’t answering in the chat.
under these circumstances… i’d just skip those quests. they are group quests and obtaining a group is not feasible, so the quests are not feasible.
FWIW, BfA Tuning is wonky right now. I’d argue that all classes should be able to fairly easily solo the 3-man “group” quests in BfA. That was my experience when it was current.
But they’ve messed it all up recently.
I was able to solo a lot of the other group quest mobs, but for some reason this one elite in particular is immune to all stuns and slows.
As a druid, You’ll find that Guardian spec can solo most everything in the game. Not exactly a solution to the grouping issue, but you can almost certainly go tank and wear down whatever it is through attrition.
Sounds like fun, but I’m playing as a Rogue right now.
Oh dear, rogue is not a very strong solo class.
You can possibly juggle your cooldowns and blow a few consumables to help. But Rogue is kind of a glass cannon with mobs that aren’t subject to CC.
Are you certain there isn’t any item to weaken the mob or something like that? There are a few quests like that.
As was stated above, you might be better off skipping the quest for now it it’s beyond your abilities, and coming back later.
Nope, they have no items or weaknesses. The one is immune to stuns, slows, and all CC. The other quest requires me to kill 2 elites that are fighting each other, and even though I can slow them down, I can’t damage them enough while also juggling CCs because they do way too much damage. I’m just gonna have to skip it.
