LFG is a player-created Global chat channel to help facilitate the search for groups across the world. To enter the chat in game, type /join LFG
I’m only aware of the alliance side channel but it probably exists horde side too. If not, typing /join LFG will create the channel anyway.

But people tend to use the channel where most people are looking at.
Which ends up being trade or “world” as seen on Pservers.
Meh having the LFG tool would work better.
If you mean “World” as a user created channel, basically the same thing. If you mean World Defense, no-one can post in that without high PVP ranking so in the real game it won’t be used for LFG.
Not really the same thing, since LFG won’t be used to sell stuff or just to talk. And yes I’m talking about a man made “world” channel.
But people just tend to use the channel with the most people in it, I’d rather see people using LFG for dng tho… but yeah… sigh
I don’t know if “World” will become a thing, unless Private Server players push it real hard. There’s a different meta when you have 3000 people instead of 15000, and only 10% played on a private server.
Cool so I need to join LookingForGroup, LFG, and World. Because I imagine all three will end up being used.
Will see indeed, but on the stress test I saw it used quite a bit.
Possibly because so many of the fans of streamers who play Private Servers did it and told them to. And you’re right, that may be a vector to create a larger channel, but those streamers and their fans will be on individual servers too.
Who knows. The meta has has 15 years of different influences to change, so we’ll see what sticks.
