I just came back during the fire fest and went hard in it getting all the fire toys lol
What are some cool fire themed items, quests, mounts. I seem to be having fun going all in on the Phoenix fire aesthetic.
I’d say the single most important new “phoenix” thing added was the MoP cloak toy to give you fire wings for 8 hours on a 2 min CD.
I’d also suggest the Firelands set in orange or purple, and the blue recolor from Island expeditions. The helmet and shoulders look especially good, IMO.
The venthyr floating daggers also look pretty good, almost as feathers, when matched with the store phoenix set you are wearing.
You can mix and match all those pieces for some really nice Xmogs.

Ragnaros’ shoulders from Time Rifts are very fiery, but I recommend the red/orange Firelands mage set along with one of the staves or the fire artifact weapon and orb.
Circle of Flame from BRD is easy to get too, if ya want a nice fire crown

Also, Ti’tahk, the Steps of Time from Normal Madness of Deathwing in the Dragon Soul raid is pretty nice looking if you want a fiery staff transmog.
