So I’m aware this will sound easy, and probably dumb since there are other more basic nameplate addons anyways. However I would like to eventually expand so that’s why I wanna just start with Plater so I can get used to it.
Anyways, I’m looking for a Player setup, didn’t see one on Wago, that makes it just the name plate and no buffs or debuffs until I add them. I tried going through and clicking everything off and debuffs still pop up and a few other things I’m not sure how I missed.
Doesn’t it pretty much work that way out of the box?
Even the “basic out of the box,” version has lots of stuff popping up. I managed to resize and color the bar as the way I wanted but that’s it
No, quite the opposite really. Plater outside the box has options checked which are native to it. For example, most nameplate addons or basic nameplates have it so there’s debuffs on one line, buffs on another.
Plater, as a default option, will combine both into one line and color coordinate them based on origin of said buff. In other words, green bordered things are from you (I think).
Plater actually takes a lot of assembly out the box to make it so it’s not a mess to read. I’ve made my own profile after weeks of tweaking with it (because I’m OCD) and then made 12 versions of it so I could color code the personal bar based on class.
