We are 3 weeks out from release at this point and I still have yet to find an addon that actually tracks ALL my buffs/debuffs. Please, someone must know of something that functions similarly to how Classtimer or Elkano Buffbars used to. I just want text bars directly above my frames that tell me when my buffs/debuffs are active, how many stacks there are of them, and the time remaining. The in-game tools are NOT sufficient for this and some classes NEED to be able to easily see their buffs/debuffs without having to search the screen for them.
Would also love to know how to make your health/mana numbers actually visible 100% of the time rather than ONLY when I mouse over them but I can live without that a whole lot easier than the lack of reliable tracking.
That is absolutely absurd. If we are expected to maintain buffs/debuffs, especially stacking ones, Blizz NEEDS to make them easily trackable IN COMBAT. (not arguing with you, making a statement that I hope they are reading) The built-in tool does not track all buffs. It also isn’t nearly customizable enough, which means it is still difficult to easily see. This isn’t about giving players an advantage, it’s about allowing us to use our abilities efficiently.
There is an alpha version of Elkano’s BuffBars that you can try (you’ll just need to toggle “Show alpha files” for it to show up before you can download it). It does have some limitations, but does appear to work in combat, and show the buffs on your character.
I am hoping that someday, ClassTimer can find a way to return. It most likely would need to be adjusted in a similar way that Elkano’s BuffBars was. I feel like my gameplay experience is severely limited and much more frustrating in Midnight. I just want for either the stock UI, or a simple addon, where I can place a bar, and the bar automatically stacks and sorts spells, like ClassTimer.
Awesome news, thanks for sharing! I haven’t used this addon in a long while but I’ll have to give this a shot. I’ve been using Raven forever and now going back to default UI buff/debuff, ugh, I hate it.
