Looking for a MORE Classic UI? Try this

This is what I’ve come up with so far until we can move and resize more UI elements.

For FIRST TIME Install:
Follow these steps carefully.

  1. Press escape and open edit mode
  2. Close any UI tooltips that pop up in edit mode, your minimap, and character frame
  3. Go to the dropdown of edit mode and click the import option
  4. Paste this code in:

0 30 0 0 0 7 7 UIParent -256.0 36.0 -1 ##$$%/&‘’%)$+# 0 1 0 7 7 UIParent -256.0 82.9 -1 ##$$%/&‘’%(#,$ 0 2 0 7 7 UIParent 256.0 35.3 -1 ##$$%/&‘’%(#,$ 0 3 0 8 8 UIParent -3.1 88.0 -1 #$$$%/&‘’%(#,$ 0 4 0 5 3 MultiBarRight -4.0 0.0 -1 #$$$%/&‘’%(#,$ 0 5 0 7 7 UIParent 256.0 83.3 -1 ##$$%/&‘’%(#,$ 0 6 0 4 6 UIParent 1819.5 215.1 -1 ##$$%/&(‘%(#,$ 0 7 1 1 7 MultiBar6 0.0 0.0 -1 ##$$%/&(’%(#,$ 0 10 0 7 7 UIParent -425.5 127.8 -1 ##$$&(‘% 0 11 0 7 7 UIParent -199.5 127.4 -1 ##$$&(’%,# 0 12 0 7 7 UIParent -7.3 127.4 -1 ##$$&(‘% 1 -1 0 7 7 UIParent 0.1 172.7 -1 ##$# 2 -1 0 2 2 UIParent 0.0 0.0 -1 ##$# 3 0 0 0 0 UIParent -20.0 16.0 -1 $#3# 3 1 0 1 1 UIParent -170.8 16.0 -1 %#3# 3 2 1 3 5 TargetFrame -10.0 0.0 -1 %#&#3# 3 3 1 0 2 CompactRaidFrameManager 0.0 -7.0 -1 ‘#(#)#-#.#/#1$3# 3 4 1 0 2 CompactRaidFrameManager 0.0 -5.0 -1 ,#-#.#/#0#1#2( 3 5 0 5 5 UIParent -1.1 206.5 -1 &#$3# 3 6 0 5 5 UIParent -2.0 165.6 -1 3# 4 -1 0 4 4 UIParent 0.0 -386.8 -1 # 5 -1 0 4 4 UIParent 0.0 -308.1 -1 # 6 0 0 1 1 UIParent 587.5 -2.0 -1 ##$#%#&.(()(# 6 1 0 1 7 BuffFrame 59.4 -4.0 -1 ##$#%#’+(()(*# 7 -1 0 4 4 UIParent 0.0 -192.6 -1 # 8 -1 0 3 3 UIParent 34.0 -408.3 -1 #’$(%&&% 9 -1 0 7 7 UIParent -473.8 162.4 -1 # 10 -1 1 0 0 UIParent 16.0 -116.0 -1 # 11 -1 0 8 8 UIParent -94.3 38.0 -1 # 12 -1 0 5 5 UIParent -228.1 23.7 -1 #?

  1. IF you want ALL your characters and alts to start with this default UI, DO NOT select option for character specific. Just name it something I call mine ForsakenUI and save and exit Edit mode.
  • IF YOU have already done this on 1 character, then for your alts, AFTER step 2, just select what you named it from the drop down and voila!

Don’t forget to go to escape > options > and under Gameplay > Action bars to enable bars 2-6

IF this is the first time setting up UI on that character and you skip Step 2, You WILL have to move your character’s unit frame down a bit to be able to close out the tooltip pop-up.

For reference, I run the game at 1920x1080 resolution with UI scaled to 64% (lowest the slider can swing to the left)

Action bars 7 and 8 will still need to be setup if you choose to use them.
This is JUST a base template UI.
Feel free to play around with it and personalize it for you.

… Uh. Would I really trust a random user with an assortment of code?

I’d get you a screenshot but servers are down at the moment, I’ll update the main post with it once they are back up.

EDIT: Posted links to Screenshots

That would be helpful. Thanks.

They’re posting with a real account. And it’s the same code as the UI. Don’t sweat it.

May take a look, For me the translucent bars mess with my eyes.

Cool will check it out.

If you go into edit mode and click one of the action bars, you can check the box that says “Always show buttons” To get rid of the blank spaces of unused slots and make them transparent or vice versa.

This looks WAY more like the “classic” UI than the “classicUI” they have preloaded

Looks great! With all the player import possibilities, probably could use a UI thread.

Even though I didn’t select “character specific” when I saved my desired HUD layout, I still have to log in to each character and select the saved layout. There doesn’t seem to be an option to apply a layout to all characters, unless I’ve missed it somewhere.

It’s a string, not executable programming code.

Try this instead

int main(int, chars**) {
    std::InstallVirusesAndMalwareAndLogAttimisKeys();
}

Run that on your computer and it’ll reset your UI to classic from before yesterday.

You are correct, after you do it on one character, with your ALTS you go into edit mode (COMPLETE STEP 2 STILL) and then just select whatever you named it from the dropdown

Here you go…

Nice! I like it but I copied and pasted and the silver dragons are still there? Am i missing something in the edit to get rid of them? pls and ty!

If your silver dragons are still there, try and import the code one more time following the steps in the post.

If they are STILL there after that, and everything else changed BUT the gryphons are still around your hotbar, then click on edit mode, click action bar 1 on the bottom left, and put a checkmark next to “HIDE BAR ART” and save and close edit mode

Go into Edit. Click the main task bar… and you’ll see an option to remove artwork or something along those lines. I’m at work
