Looking for 4 other people to level with, with some specifications

Some potential deal-breakers right out of the chute:
• I’ll be playing on a PvP server.
• I’ll be playing alliance 100% of the time.
• My timezone is EST.

Whether or not I find people to play with, my plan for WoW Classic is to stick to one character and prioritize professions over my character’s level. It’s always satisfying to be able to make your own gear as you level up, basically being an almost-twink most the time.

My plan is to find 4 other people that follow this same philosophy and play often enough to keep up with each other. I plan to work on professions (or simply anything other than character leveling) when the others aren’t online so that I don’t get too far ahead.

The main point of this is to have a group of 5 with professions that mesh well together (one of each) and classes that form a viable dungeon composition. This would not only make leveling faster (when filtering the time spent not focusing on character level), but it would alleviate problems like rolling against each other for loot and fighting over resource nodes. We would also make more money because we would be able to harvest every resource node we come across.

I don’t know exactly what I intend to do once we all hit 60. We’d probably make a guild if we hadn’t already. I suppose we would just do anything 5 tightly-knit brothers in arms would do at level 60, be it raiding, battlegrounds, or anything else. I’m not an avid raider, but I have raided in the past and I won’t count myself out; I suppose I just don’t want to have to lead the raid. I probably wouldn’t be against rolling new characters and going on the same adventure with the roles shuffled around, either.

The roster would look something like this:

  1. Rogue/Hunter/Druid - Skinning/Leatherworking
  2. Warrior/Paladin - Mining/Blacksmithing
  3. Priest/Mage/Warlock - Tailoring/Enchanting
  4. Rogue/Warrior/Paladin/Druid - Herbalism/Alchemy
  5. Any - Any

The 5th one is “Any - Any” because, at that point, all of the gathering professions (and tailoring) have been covered and the last guy can more or less do whatever he wants. The key thing is each character would have a profession they can benefit from in a significant way.

If you’ve gotten this far, you may think this is a cool idea you want to try out with me. I’m looking for people that are fairly dedicated. If so much as one person can’t make as much time as the group average, or gives up on WoW Classic, it’s going to throw a bit of a wrench in the works. Out of respect to the participants’ time, I need any candidate to be committed.

Unless you have 4 friends in real life that want to play the other characters in your group it will be very difficult to find 4 players who are willing to level at your pace. They are not going to sit around waiting for you to log on. They will either be playing more than you and out leveling you or you will out level them.

Do not expect to make a lot of your own gear. Most useful gear requires pattern and materials that by the time you can make them they are too low level to be useful.

But who knows you could get lucky.

They wouldn’t sit around waiting for me to log on - they’d work on their professions, play another character, and anything else that doesn’t focus on increasing the level of the character that’s a part of this 5-man. I’ve already considered that problem and there are ways around it.

I think your goals and playstyle is unique enough that you may find it quite difficult to find a perfect group of like-minded individuals, but good luck

Id be down but I’m rolling on a RPPvP server. Playing this mmorpg the way its meant to be played.

That’s why I’m starting to look sooner rather than later.

I’d say I’d be down for rolling on an RPPvP server despite the fact that I don’t roleplay, but I see you’re on Moonguard and I’ve heard that Moonguard is mega-hardcore roleplaying. I’m not sure playing on a server like that would be a good idea for the average biter of an idea like this.

I am a light role player not heavy. And I transferred to MG from Emerald Dream which used to be a very active RPPvP server. I haven’t played retail in a long time. But yeah, MG used to have a ton of RP in SW, that is what I transfered to MG from ED. And the removing of server labels made all servers pve by default so that screwed Emerald Dream. I am a light rper and heavy pvper. WPvP/player created events.

And another thing is, I will be playing very similar to how you plan to play. Lvling my primary and secondary profs as I lvl and reading all quests, getting into the story of each zone, taking my time.

I won’t be “taking my time,” per se, just making sure I don’t outlevel the other group members by too much. I don’t min-max or level sweatily fast, but I’ll still be sinking a lot of time into this game.

This is tempting. I will be maining a Dwarf hunter with Skinning/Leatherworking. It evens makes a pvp server almost appealing (safety in numbers). My disqualification is that I’m an altoholic, and already have plans for my first five (hopefully only) characters.

Still, things change. If you’re getting down to it and short a ranged dps, send a reply. Just make sure there’s an engineer to make my bullets.

My first character’s gonna be a rogue anyway and I’ll probably be getting skinning/leatherworking on him.
