Do you ever regret all the years you’ve spent playing WoW? Does it feel wasted to you?
Thank you for giving me anxiety tonight.
why would this give you anxiety? That’s weird
Maybe the real waste was the friends we made along the way?
No, just moments.
Making friends … maan that is my 2026 goal in-game, lol.
Nah, good memories and fun times are never a waste
No.
No, because it was time I enjoyed.
I’ve played a lot of games, wasted a lot of time.
I’ve likely wasted more time hatching eggs in Pokémon for shinies more than any other game tbh.
And still proud of the shiny Pokémon I’ve raised myself. Each and every one.
Sometimes. But really, what would I be doing otherwise? Watching more tv? Playing other video games? I had the major addiction period with wow back when I started. But I was only 19 then. It didn’t stop me from getting my life together later, getting a job, joining a gym. It’s a hobby. It’s a thing i love but ultimately just a small part of my life. So no, no regrets.
No. Because video games are no less valid a hobby than any other thing we enjoy in our spare time. No one ever seems to ask, “do you regret all the time you spent golfing?” or “Do you feel like you wasted all that time you watched sports ball?”
Nope . It’s cheeper then going to the bar , good luck spending only $15 going to the movie .
If anything, I wish I could undo my family and give my children to someone who needs them more so I could focus on my goal of reaching Gladiator in arena.
I mean I could waste 30 years sitting in a corporate office helping them increase their bottom line too. Is that a better experience though? Nah.
Time you enjoy– as well as the money spent to buy experiences–, is never a waste friend.
No regrets…there were a few times that the distraction helped me through some challenging times. Do I wish they hadn’t made a few design decisions along the way…absolutely !! So, now that I’m retired, I play the bare bones version, old world content only, due to all things Pathfinder and it works for me. …most of time.
I never do.
You can ask the same thing about time spent watching TV, or drinking. But with WoW we have to strategize, use hand-eye coordination, develop direction sense, socialise, manage, plan and organise.
Studies have shown that gamers make better surgeons, ( https://www.abc.net.au/news/2008-08-19/gamers-make-better-surgeons-study/481306 ) help improve memory loss in people with dementia, and many other positive health benefits.
Gaming is one of my hobbies and I don’t regret a single minute of the decades I have spent in this world!
Maybe I’m living in a dream world, but I’m happy, lol.
i dont cause i have fun
LMAO Please keep me updated on your journey to Gladiator.
That’d be a real slap in the face to your kids Slapface.
It’s probably worth glad though, so gl! They gotta learn to grow up sooner or later, y’know?
I played this game like a true addict when I was younger and it has teetered off in to an occasional time sink. I’m married now with a child. Everything is as it should be. No, I do not regret playing this game. It’s just like any of the other ones I’ve played except this one I’ve played the longest.
