Looking back, how do you feel about Uldir?

I feel like Uldir doesn’t get much credit these days. If nothing else, seeing something as disgusting and horrifying as G’huun was a treat.

Not a raider, so no feelings there but I really liked it from a lore perspective. The titans tried to engineer an Old God? Pretty juicy stuff there.

Disliked how the raid was set up. Not a lot of good mogs for me in there. So yeah was not for me.

It was pretty damn tight now that I think about it, I really liked that boss fight where people gotta teleport to the balconys to kill some orb or something, while mobs are attacking — If I’m thinking of the right raid? Void Gates would open and stuff

Story wise? It was interesting

Asthetic? EW GROSS

As a raid? Eh. :woman_shrugging:

All of BFA’s armor sets look garbage to me, nothing to aspire towards.

For a first tier raid, I thought it was good. The first tier raids are usually not as exciting. But I greatly preferred it over EN from Legion.

Personally, it was one of the most bland and boring raids I have experienced. My group had so little fun that they just stopped playing. That and we couldn’t pug any decent folks, it is amazing how bad the pug scene was at the beginning of the expansion. Normal shouldn’t be difficult.

Some of the weapons in Uldir are really great looking, but the gear was all underwhelming and other than MOTHER and G’huun, I really didn’t find any of the fights interesting. G’huun was probably fun; since my team burned out really early, I just saw him on LFR to complete the quests.

It was cool. Seemed like copy/paste of the Genetic Archives raid from WildStar and I really liked that one, so yeah. Not bad. Also made almost no sense from an Alliance perspective but that’s par for the course.

I’m old school…take the other titan themed raid environment of Ulduar…leaps and bounds better. Don’t get me wrong Uldir by all means isn’t a bad raid, but every titan Themed raid will always be compared to Ulduar…and quite frankly it was in my opinion the best raid Blizzard ever did.

Titan themed Dungeons and Raids from a art perspective are always some of the best in WoW.

The titan theme is always fun to see.

I liked Uldir.

Pretty solid first raid.

I really really liked the cloth set from heroic and the caster mh/of set.

I thought it was cool. Great story buildup, if you played the Horde side of things, and I liked the aesthetic too. It was different from other titan areas we’ve seen.

Could’ve done with less trash before Zul, but eh whatever. G’huun was an interesting one too and a creepy end boss. I liked running the orbs and feeling useful (since no one ever volunteered for it).

I hated heroic G’huun

Don’t know why we were there, ghuun fight was awful.

My only real complaint is the amount of trash that was in the way of fighting Zul. That could eat up 20 minutes of raid night sometimes, which is a damper on progression for us non-hardcores. We got the idea, he had a zillion followers, just didn’t need to fight them all.

It has some of the best transmog sets they’ve ever produced.

I really liked it as a raid. The set for it was hideous though.

We got CE pretty early on so I did a lot of the fights pre-nerf. My opinion will be based on that.

Honestly, it was 50/50. Fetid was awful (RNG dictated kills), mythrax was awful (for melee specifically due to the spread mechanic), zul unfortunately was a joke due to 2-3 rogues making the fight insanely simple. Zek’voz was fun, Vectis was awesome and ghuun wasn’t too bad. The other two were basically ignorable.

Class design and the way azerite was in 8.0/8.1 is what made uldir fall from memory a bit. I think the raid overall was okay but on top of everything else that was horrible I think the perception is just “meh”.

The aesthetic of the raid imo was pretty awesome. Going deep into a giant golden pyramid eventually reaching the very bottom which looked like the Upside Down from stranger things. I loved ghuuns boss room. Overall though nothing was memorable for me so I don’t really think about it.

first tier raids are usually lackluster, so as a first tier raid, Uldir stood heads and shoulders above the rest in it’s rank.

but eh.

not my favorite raid.

I don’t. Feel about it, that is. It has made absolutely no impression on me whatsoever.
