This is just a thinly-veiled high elf thread.
I can already imagine the funny situation if Anduin is in the same room as Talanji.
All we need is void elf paladins and it’ll be forgotten. I assume.
He gave the order for the attack so its insulting to pretend any Zandalari player who take quests from him.
It’ll happen eventually.
I don’t get why it’s s such a hot button issue though considering high elves weren’t paladins in the RTS games. It’s not like it’s an iconic high elf class like hunter or mage.
we had 6 elf units by the time of TFT.
Dragonhawk riders
Spellbreaker
archer
priest
sorcererss
and foot soldier
with the blood mage being the hero class.
To be fair, this is often how horde players are pushed to adventure with the Night elves, Jania, or even Sylvanas.
Vereesa could sneer at us about Varian which wasn’t even our fault. Anduin however is directly responsible for the death of Rastakhan and alot of other Zandalari soldiers. Just did the raid again yesterday on normal mode and its insane Blizzard keeps ignoring this that is how deaf they are about this issue.
Them not being elves is a good thing.
I’m not holding out much hope they’ll become playable just yet (we have so little to support that idea) but if they did, I don’t think they’ll be neutral like the dwarves are (in Wowhead’s article about this, they were listed once whereas the dwarves were listed twice, for horde and alliance). It makes me wonder what else is out there that could even be paired with them as another non-neutral allied race, because so far what we’ve seen is either too out there (buff kobalds and nerubians) or most likely just extra customization for existing races (arathi ties to human and potentially kul tiran). While we have seen allied races that could have just been customizations (lightforged draenei, dark iron dwarves, zandalari trolls) I think Blizz has been trying to move away from this (the dwarves are, for example, also for horde-- they should have fully commited to giving them to horde and give alliance something unique, but that’s a debate for another day) with the man’ari, high elf, and wildhammer designs being customization choices.
Elves were trolls once.
Some of them reverted back to trolls, begging for high elves customization on forums.
I’ve gotten to where I cannot stand elves but Shadowmeld is just so good.
And I like my muscle man night elf with his big strong hands.
If I could choose my racial I would probably be Forsaken or Waggle
lore has it that high elves taught humans magecraft and humans taught high elves paladin. so theyve once again skipped over precedent in warcraft lore, ignoring high elf paladins, only to turn around in game and give blood elves paladins. Now you wanna ignore the lore for high elves, even though blood elves have paladins, by citing the paladin hole in warcraft.
they are bat trolls, and i would totally play one if they were a neutral allied race
ya know this is bonkers. this is what players asked for:
ogre
high elf
san’layn
Vrykul
naga
and instead we got dwarfs and nelf bats. hehe
They feel like the “missing link” in the evolutionary chain from trolls to elves. So basically, they are trollsquatches.
Quel’dorei
Ogres
Saberon
Mok’nathal
Big, beefy forest trolls
Harronir look REALLY GOOD.
Apart from Velves none of the Allied Races appealed to me and this looks like the first one that’s going to appeal to a looooooooot of people, particularly elf lovers because they have a bit of that beauty to them.
Trolls are 100x better than elves anyway, so I’m happy.
They’re ugly.
I doubt they’ll be more played than mechagnomes.
I’d be down for them being an Allied Race!
…Nerubians first though
