Looking Ahead to Phase 4

#1 Incursions must be removed for the health of the game & for the world bosses (easy out for devs to save face). MoP’s Timeless Isle is a much better way to do this type of content.

#2 Shaman weapon imbues need an increased timer

#3 Warlocks need soul well & better DoTs

#4 A badge system that recognizes the shortcomings of Wild Offerings and gives us a reason to run full dungeons and not skip bosses

#5 The Grizzby treatment for certain runes such as the Dark Riders quests.

What other ideas do we have?

Do you think it matters?

Any runes that are not from the immediate previous phase should be moved to the vendor. Nobody wants to go through all that from the start.

Completely agree. The runes seem to require more and more travel time the higher level you go and the #1 thing stopping me from leveling alts is going through all of that a 2nd, 3rd, 4th time.

Nerf shaman. That should be the highest priority on their list of things to do.

Maybe it’s my horde bias but I think Spriest is worse than (ele) shaman. Never really fight ENH so i’ll defer on this one.

Enhance is much better now that they cannot use WotE while dual wielding. It’s 100% elemental shaman that’s the issue at the moment. I don’t think anyone is genuinely complaining about enhancement anymore. Although their free 10% hit on the dual wield rune is a little bs when compared to other classes similar runes. That’s a pve thing though.

Overall I’d put elemental shaman above shadow priest in pvp. Elemental Shaman currently has the best burst damage, aoe damage, and the best mitigiation of all the classes, with a ton of utility. Shadow priest is definitely strong, and they’re even stronger on the horde side than alliance due to racials and the disparity between shaman and paladins. Shaman hard counter shadow priest.

My ele is my alt so its not fully geared or anything, but hard casting is just rough in pvp and relying on instant cast rng is not a guaranteed win. Spriest just needs to dot & run and ele has to get lucky with procs. It would be like if shaman was flame shocking you then just ghost wolf and run away. The shaman at least has to fight you.

Shaman is significantly tankier, and can easily be played in the same manner as you described the priest. Shaman has more utility than priests have as well.

In a shocking turn of events this turned into a nerf shaman thread.

Anyways I’ll add

  1. Upgraded PvP trinket with stamina and a slightly lower cooldown
  2. Rewards for playing BGs to increase replay ability after maxing out rep(rankings, gold, whatever)
  3. Remove Chronoboon
  4. And to second your initial post - remove incursions or only allow a certain amount of quests to be completed there in a day

I’ve had a hard time coping myself but I honestly think dev’s are done with sod.
they put in the work for 3 phases/ leveling raids and they’d probably prefer to leave the work as it is than go about changing all of the classic raids now.

rather than push a p4 they will more likely launch a new season that piggybacks off sod where the level-up raids are still there but we can just go all the way to 60 and the 60 raids may or may not be altered.

gonna hit my 1 toon on cata with the wave and pray that something classic happens before firelands is over and the game utterly collapses completely. (even if war within is good, too many old school players will just never go back to cartoony retail)

So, buff Haunt.

Nail on the head… Retail is just too cartoony. I made an orc in MoP remix and he was so goofy and bouncy i just had to reroll.

All good ideas imo. However, I personally wouldn’t mind if they just don’t have a badge system. Just sprinkle around some good loot in the dungeons or upgrade the current drops.

I just figure with any sort of badge system people will find some way to optimize it into oblivion. For instance, I’d rather find a group for BRD to farm for Impervious Giant, and then complete the dungeon so whoever wants it to get a chance at Ironfoe, etc, than endlessly reset the quickest bosses to farm tokens.
