  • Yu’lon’s Grace now stacks up to 10% (was 20%).

I lold, they nerfed the terrible passive that no one is ever going to use 'cause diffuse is much better in every way.

  • Generous Pour’s tooltip has been updated to more accurately describe its functionality. No functionality has changed.

This is pretty rofl sausage too. Were people confused as to what 4% avoidance meant that they needed to reword it differently? Im more confused now tbh, does that mean Ill still have 12% avoidance ( 8% base + aura’s 4% ) when 10.1.5 hits? or is this new affect separate from avoidance? ( meaning it doesnt stack together ) Says functionality not changed but…just ugh. Such a pointless change that someone actually put effort/time into rofl.

At least we are getting some buffs to:

  • All spell and ability damage increased by 10%. Does not apply to PvP combat.
  • Font of Life now increases Essence Font’s initial heal by 25% (was static amount).

That has been the theme of this entire expansion.

Reworks for Shaman, Priests got like 4, Rets got 2, and other class have gotten massive spell changes and improvements… WW Monks, well we got a 2% static fix which didn’t offset the necklace nerf which resulted in a net loss of 4% to 10% damage depending on how rng your neck played in your logs.

Yeah that’s it, Buffs for everyone… overall dps loss for WW. GG Blizz

I can only assume (and also hope) that this radio silence means there is a massive overhaul/rework happening of the entire Monk class/specs. If that’s the case and they are busy iterating, then fine… but damn this is also turning into some sweet copium lol

At least announce you’re doing it, if you are blizz c’mon

I wouldn’t bank on it at this point. Forums/Reddit/Wowhead… Hell even people that don’t even play the class are saying we need help.

But all the class gets are 2% buffs here, 3% there and more focus on terrible capstone statues smh.

Well, we can hope that monk will be looked at soon, if they are taking the time to go through all the other classes.

monk will have their rework in due time, its just a matter of when. Class needs help asap tho, some classes that needed less got their rework earlier imo

The word rework get thrown around a lot. Realistically, WW doesn’t need a hard rework per se. Though, that doesn’t mean we don’t have the design space for it because we certainly do. The talent trees need to be addressed to get rid of all the bloat and badly designed stuff because there is a lot of it.

But for the most part, WW needs to be un-nerfed more than anything before we get actual development. WW getting un-nerfed would make half the dps specs in the game irrelevant/obsolete. WW getting improved/developed would finish the job with the other half.

You make a lot of valid points but I personally disagree with this part.

Blizzard needs to remove our poor-man totems aka statues, this would be a fundamental rework to a capstone gameplay system. Then we need to make Xuen into going super sayien and you become blue glowing and aoe lightining damage like Xuen did but now it is around you the player. Again requiring a fundamental rework. Same could easily be Nizhou but its a black glow and your purify causes the stomp Nizhou would aoe do but now it is the player with a old warrior thunder clap animation that stomps the ground. And Same for Jade serpent you’re glowing Jade and have double the healing coming off you for the time it is active.

Mostly we need to get rid of the 5 nodes for ToD. That clears up 5 talent nodes for brand new moves. If you’re adding in 5 new talents then that 100% requires a rework. You can’t build around ToD and be competitive in this game. ToD is fake damage to start with. Hitting a mob for 90k over kill (damage beyond their actual hp) because it won’t activate until the mob would have already died anyway, is pad damage aka fake. So we need to replace those 5 talents… that is a lot of REWORK.

Now we need our talent trees cleaned up. Put aoe black out kick in the tree with all sck nodes and with faeline. Keep the middle all our buff nodes like hit combo and maybe one ToD node. Final line in the tree is Single target dps stuff add in new ones like RSK leaves a fire dot on the target. Second node attached can cause the RSK fire dot to spread with FoF, etc. Again this all requires a rework.

But all of that would take a complete talent and system rework.

Again your right we can be band aided by unnerfing old moves, that only lasts until mob hp scaling again makes us worthless because our ToD centric playstyle. We need a complete rework to not have anything to do with ToD or PETS. Keep ToD for flavor but make it function like warrior execute. It activates at sub 35% also has a rng proc to activate at any hp and is a spamable big hit but nothing ground breaking. Or we dump it entirely. Even making ToD just like warrior execute would still require a 5 talent rework.

We need a rework and this is honestly to most engagement I have had with WoW in months. I notice my time is almost up and I wanted to end this with ways to fix things. I thank you for posting which has reminded me of the joy this class and game used to bring but sadly to the state it has fallen.

I agree that the statues need to go/be addressed, but I don’t think that’s worthy of being called a rework. Same with the damn talent point node bloat with ToD and all the other bloated crap. That’s just taking out the trash or flushing the toilet after you take a dump. Except in our case Blizz didn’t take out the trash for like a month or left us with a clogged toilet. If we got restructured back to like TeB build from MoP/WoD, I’d consider that a rework.

Oh I’m not thinking of/looking forward to ToD nerf reversions. I’m thinking of reverting nerfs to XBG, MotC, FoF, and SotWL because those would take a fat dump on ToD and let us scale very well. That’d easily boost our overall damage in keys by like 1.5-1.75 times itself.

They’re busy balancing “PI the spec” for 10.1.5 so it doesn’t break any other class/spec or the game ( AugVoker ). :roll_eyes:

Was hoping for a class talent tree rework in the very least. Not even a full one, just one that reduces the bloat and gives us a few neat updates/buffs, but it seems like they just dont care anymore. There are a ton of ideas floating around and ways to give us that edge without us being overpowered or broken. There are even areas in the talent tree that can be buffed numbers wise ( even temporarily ) to make things less depressing.

25% font of life buff is something that needed to happen like 2 expansions ago, and they just get it it now…

Keg of Plenty:
Drop a keg that party/raid members can click to gain a tea/brew useful to their role. Last five minutes.

Healer: Lesser Mana Tea
Reduce the mana cost of spells by 25% for 10 secs. 1.5 min cd 2 charges.

Tank: Lesser Fortifying Brew
Turn your skin to stone, increasing your current and max hp by 5% and reducing all damage you take by 10% for 10 sec. 1.5 min cd 2 charges

Dps: Tiger Brew
Crackle with the lighting of Xuen. All damaging spells and abilities deal an extra 5% nature damage for 10 sec. 1.5 min cd 2 charges.

Or they could do a lesser Healing Elixir. But that might infringe on warlock cookies too much.

All numbers are subject to appropriate tuning.

I’m gonna keep putting this out there. Monk needs something!
