Long Forgotten Hippogryph Question

I know that if my character were to die or leave the zone my progress resets. But if I exit the game for a few hours will my progress reset too?

Edit: Got the mount!

I like your face! I also have that question.

I don’t know the answer but I do know that there is a secret hunters discord that may know more about this. I don’t have the link but it is something you might want to look into for both your answer and help getting your mount.

Good luck.

According to wowhead it persists while logged out. https://www.wowhead.com/spell=215316/crystal-dummy-aura-1

I believe it persists, however if someone on the same shard gets it before you, then that will reset it for you.

Guide says it stays when you logout!

we now know that logging out will not reset your internal buff

If OP is smart and does this on a dead RP realm, he won’t have anything to worry about.

See the thing is a lot of sellers and boosters use those realms to sell it for that reason. So it honestly goes hand in hand, I think op would be better off going for it when they can dedicate enough time for it. Least that’s my 2 cents.

Oh grats then!

You got 8 hours to get it

How much time do you even need to dedicate to it? I went and got it by accident one day because the shards were up and it took me like 20 minutes.

I guess it depends on luck and by how many people are phased in. I was racing against like 6 other people and used an addon to help me track my locations. It took about 3 hours? But some people get it quickly because they’re in the right place at the right time. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

i think it stays the problem is if someone on the same shard gets all the crystals before you do then yes it will reset. even if you are logged on if someone on the same shard still gets all the crystals before u do then your back to starting over.

when i did mine i was surprised i got it all. really doesn’t take long just have a guide open and maybe youtube for vids cause some of the crystal locations are kinda hidden out of plain sight.
