The principle is falsifiability, popularized by Karl Popper. The developers wrote and presented Shadowland and Ardenweald within it a certain way… and it falsifies your headcanon.
You never had any facts. Same as you pretending Argus was a two-legged man instead of a World Soul for weeks…
Firstly, no such thing ever happened in game. But secondly, and more importantly… what you quote to me does not mean what the previous user is trying to twist it to be out of context. If I read that article quote which you paste there, it was a question about how do they pick a “theme” for an entire expansion. Then their answer begins by mentioning “sessions where we think of cool things, throwaway others. It’s a mix of things.” …which doesn’t mean that a collection of their cool ideas are physically connected in lore. They say the same thing in a different way by describing that… “We gather a lot of reference i.e. images, old ideas, etc, we happened to find this image of a star specked forest” …meaning they were going to pair them as places included in the expansion. Not stick them together and only have 3 robot islands. Essentially they were “pairing” all 4 together for their new place in the expansion. Their answer to a developer question wasn’t anything about being a part of Bastion at all. It was an opposite of Bastion.
