The theme of MM is not pet related

The theme of hunters has been pet related since Vanilla.

Every spec has used pets. Every single one. Yes, including MM. Most MM players will use a pet when soloing, because the ability to have a tank beats the damage bonus of Lone Wolf

An eagle is just such an ill-fitting option for most races. And the hero talents are already so specific to certain races, with dark ranger being specifically elf coded and sentinel being specifically night elf coded. Both of tgose already have a generic animal tied to them. And in 11.1 so shall pack leader, with its specifically orc coded animals! They’re just completing stripping away any uniqueness from the class.

I’m all for MM finally getting a unique identity, and in turn BM will also get a better pet identity beyond “pet does the work”.

If you’re a Hunter and you want to use a pet, there’s two great options for you.

You’re the second person I’ve seen use the argument “I’m attached to my pet”. If you’re attached to your pet, do you not want to be BM anyways? It’s way more pet-centric.

Ill give you that for boar and wyvern for sure, but bear is a generic pet imo. The first hunter we see in wows trailer is a dwarf with a bear.

Though the hero spec being based on rexxar is very clear.

I addressed three things in my post: BM rotation itself, two pets and then the zoo.

I’m not sure where the miscommunication is happening.

And if I switch to BM, I not only have two pets, but a whole zoo of pets. Some people don’t want that.

You are right about that. But it’s the fact they specifically said they’re basing lt on Rexxar that make them orc coded. It’s our own Misha, Huffer and Leokk.

Don’t know yet. Again, I have zero problems with the attempt, as long as I don’t see this eagle thing. Because it’s replacing Lone Wolf, which I usually use. But I also have the option of my pet when needed.

Which is fine. As long as there’s two things:

1. I don’t see this eagle thing at all.
2. People still have the option of their own pet.
