It’s funny since no one wants MOP and tbh no one I play with is going to MOP the only reason to play MOP would be to make a pally and raid farm old content for gold for free to play 
besides that it’s gonna flop MOP was not that great of xpac til basically last 2 phases, I mean literally if you don’t play phase 1 mop and wait til phase 2 you’ll have equal to better than heroic phase 1 raiding gear for basically free let alone phase 3 and 4, that’s without them adding catch up mechanics they have added every phase
And as pvp in mop is fun…it’s when it became more retail like pvping where every class has a stun, remove cc, immune, full life heal, and like 4 spects dominate over the rest all xpac
Make the boost for TBC release or tbh a 58 boost for anniversary

I’d be surprised if we saw a boost for anniversary/tbc from this. This MoP boost is just their way to “damage control” since they’ll probably be losing at least half of their subscribers from SoD once things die down. They’re hoping people will try out the expansion and keep those subscription numbers rolling.

We wont. TBC wont be out for another 6+ months and SoD will be dead and forgotten.

SOD is the best version of classic WoW so far. It would be incredibly meaningful to the fandom to make a TBC or even WOTLK inspired version.

The game needs a fresh start. P3 did some irreparable damage to the population and a fresh release that avoids the mistakes made in SoD will be better for the long term life of this version. They said they are working on something else so we may get an even better project next year.
I am seeing a decent amount of hype from SoD players for MoP and my guild plans to play it. If you played WOTLK classic then MoP isnt really all that different and SoD gameplay is fairly similar as well.
There’ll definitely be some SoD players that will migrate over to MoP, mainly because of the incentivized 85 boost for free. I don’t feel like that will be enough to hold most players attention tho.
This release is going to get the Kung Fu Panda 2 Lord Shen treatment.
